Cigarette Lighter Powered Hookah!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Haven't posted in a long time, but I'm hoping to make a return smile.gif

Anyway, I remember before I left that somebody had posted a link to an electric hookah that could work with a car's cigarette lighter. How cool would that be to drive around smoking the hookah? Anyway, does anybody still have the link for this? It was pretty cheap, I was hoping to try it out!

Ah ok thanks guys. Kinda disappointing. I was hoping to avoid coals. I drive a big van with bad suspensions and its quite bumpy. Several times I've hit a pothole or something and had my drink/change/etc go flying everywhere. That wouldn't be very fun with coals. I will look into some of the mini-hookahs out there tho and that nice mod bowl. Appreciate the info!

mabie driving and smoking hookah are two things that shouldent really be mixed eh? I mean can't you just wait until you get to where you're going? That sounds like just asking to cause a car crash.

you have a point there tongue.gif

especially if you have super thick smoke. lol, im seeing funny movies in my head smile.gif

Some cop is gonna pull ya over all thinkin you're smoking something else... smoke all pouring out that window. lol. I bet it would look cool if you could fill up the van with smoke but it is just that... a van, not some small car or anything. Would be interesting to see... that's for sure. If you do it defenantly take some pics for us.

I was considering this in my mini-van. Depending upon the size of your hookah, you might need to build a holder. I have a 36" hookah, so I though about building a holder out of wood that would fit between the the two front seats. As for the coal problem, I would suggest the all-in-one bowl. Many people have had good results from it, so I think it would do well for this purpose. If you set it up, please take pics and post about your experience with it. Just be safe, because there are too many people on the road that cant drive because of distractions or the pure fact that they can't drive... and some people would say it is like a cell phone in the way of being a distraction to you, but I don't think it is as long as you aren't messing with it at all while you are driving... so good luck!

it doesnt work like it should. I would go with what eric said and get the wind cover bowl combo to drive and smoke. Even if its electric if it falls its still burning you and your vehicle XD

And a link to the bowl:http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/configurePrd.asp?idproduct=980

hi guys.. i have one of these combo bowls but i cant get it to smoke right.. its not airtight with the charcoal screen..and you cant use it without the screen ..coz the wind cover actually rests on the charcoal screen.. tried a few things but still couldnt get it to smoke right..
maybe its just me.. has anybody else had any experience with this bowl?

Okay, I know you posted this AGES ago, hope you're still around. Did you ever solve your issues with this bowl because I just ordered one to go with the Bambino that I also just ordered.

I have smoked hookah while driving several times. On road trips and around town too (was too cold/rainy to smoke outside).

Once I pulled the hose and dropped the coals on my friend's lap. I had to pull over but I did it very carefully since an 18-wheeler was coming fast from behind.
No injuries occurred but I have since then used lots of foil to make a good wall around the bowl the minimize the chance of the coal falling also used a good windcover too.

I hate quicklites but 3 kings is the only thing you can light while driving without risking setting the car on fire while going 110km/h.

As others said, made sure a window is open and be prepared with a really good story about why you are doing this if a cop stops you.

Are we all digging up old threads now? I see so many lately. Anyways, I have one of those bowls and can't get it to work right either, it just doesn't get air tight with that damnable screen and you can't really foil it, well, maybe I just need to try harder, but still, it's tough to get working right.

Personally I would say if you plan on taking more than a trip or two with your hookah to get a Lila. I haven't had the pleasure of trying it myself but there have been tons of positive reviews esp on the fact that it fits a cupholder and the lid screws on so no worries about dropped coals.

The only problem I forsee with it is the small bowl, so you wouldn't be able to smoke very long before having to change the bowl out.
