Newbie question about mixing shisha

Recommended Posts

I usually have good luck in concerns to mixing, when i mix the flavors up "completly" in the bowl. I try to mix the shisha so that when the coal would be steaming a pice of raspberry shisha it is always steaming a part of vanilla shisha. so just mix it good with ya fingers.

I dump the amouts of each I want on a small plate towards the outer edge and take two forks and break it all apart real good and then work small amounts towards the center to get a good thorough mix. I try not to get distracted during that process and scoop up a bite though wink.gif

Good question! I do both, depending on what the customer wants. Some people like half and half so they can use the charcoal to adjust how much of each is in there, other like to mix them together to get a consistent smoke. We, around the Tangiers place, call the first one "Thrown" and the second type "Spun".

yeah, I think it just depends on what you feel like doing or what you want at the time. I mix mine a few different ways. Sometimes I will pre mix it all together before placing the tobacco in the bowl so that it is all mixed together. Sometimes I will put it half and half next to eachother if I want to taste both flavors right away but keep em seperate. Or you can layer it so you get one flavor first and kinda a second one alittle bit into the session. Some flavors are alot stronger than others too so I always try to mix accordingly. I love mixing tobacco flavors though... I hardly ever smoke one single straight flavor at a time.

Lately I've started using a dish to pack a bowl. Especially when mixing. I pull some shisha out, fluff it up with my fingers, make a nice little poofy ball and drop it down. Lots of air space in between to get good heat throughout, and lately I've been getting the best smoking sessions since I started.
