Since this violates the spirit and liekly the letter of the Vendor Involvement rules, especially since no one from Hookahshop has bothered to register themselves and join in the conversations, The reviews for that Vendor have been suspended and any reviews not made by a semi established member removed. I'll be watching a little closer for off tpoic posts in the reviews (did some clean up last night) and for no names suddenly appearing and reviewing. If its one of the more established members posting, i'm far less concerned. However I would suggest that this is not in the same league as HH. Whilst this tactic looks to be a tad underhand and just a little norty My own personal feeling is that there actions were probably inexperienced. They are a damn good company to buy from, and my experience's with them bare that out. This smacks of a lack of understanding of internet fora. Just my own personal opinion. To give people prizes for posting a positive review, regardless of where the review is (internet forum, other site, etc) is just plain shitty. I don't want car dealers paying people to positively review the car, on tv, in magazines, or on the internet, unless it is clearly CLEARLY marked as a paid advertisement. I don't blame the people looking for free goodies..look at what people here did for the Hookahmag people..ooo did i say that in my outside voice??....but the folks who run the place thought this would be cute. Notice I also removed the direct link to their site in the review area. Also, note that the obviously read the forum, or they wouldn't have known about this review section in the first place, so the chances are they KNOW whats going on, nary a peep. The tar hot? I have emailed Hookahshop and pointed them in this direction. On a personal note:- In the UK we are very very bloody limited and this online company have allways been very good and i've had no problems up to date.
