Phoenix, Arizona Local Shisha Stores

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know of any good places to buy hookahs and shisha in Phoenix or Tempe? I know of several but wanted to see if any Phoenix or Tempe dwellers have any suggestions.

Thanks

My brother-in-law manages the Tobacco & Pipes Plus on Thomas around (edit: 44th).

I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for hookahs. Crackpipes yes, but hookahs no. I think everything in their shop is made in-house, but it seemed like they wanted your right arm for a custom hookah. I don't even remember if they carry much shisha. I wasn't a hookah smoker the last time I was in there. I guess it could be worth a look if you're in the area.

P.S.
Don't go at night. And he's the one that looks like Jesus.

Thomas and 64th Avenue or Street? Yeah Thomas road can be a little sketchy. I work around 20th street and Thomas and I feel like I need to pack heat when I stay after hours. The main places that I go to are the places listed at this website as Markets (Open Sesame (35th Ave and Greenway, Haji Baba (Apache Blvd between McClintock and Terrace), and Istanbul Cafe which is off of Apache Blvd, just north of the Oasis Hookah Lounge )

Man, Trails' selection is limited and they price it like diamonds. I think they have 50g of Nakhla for $4 or $5. I remember the one at 19th Avenue and Indian School. I remember when I called them he said that they have a great selection. He lied.

I just remember some Tails we went to around there thinking it was actualy gonna be a middle eastern marketplace or something... but nope, just a trails and they had squat for sale but nice high prices for you to spend all that money just burning a hole in your pockets. What a let down that turned out to be.

lol. I think it's 44th instead of 64th. Maybe even 52nd. And it's street, not avenue. The avenues can be scary as hell. Unless you're looking for coke and a hooker, of course.

Thomas is still kinda rough in places. Thus the wide selection of crack pipes available. And that Fry's on like 32nd street and Thomas is straight ghetto.

What kind of shisha does the market on 35th and greenway stock do you know? I've stopped in their once looking for a hookah but I never looked at the shisha. The women spoke broken english and couldnt tell me the manufacturer on the hookahs so I left.

I have shopped there many times... once lived right by it... off the top of my head I know they have alot of Al Fahker, Nakhla tobacco and some Al Waha also... but the last time that I was there was a year and a half ago... so they could carry a different selection now but it's a good store so if anything has changed they probably would only have a better selection. It isn't the cheapest place to shop at but it was where I always went since I only lived 3 miles away.

Open Sesame's prices have gone up for their shisha. But like the Captain said, they carry a lot of Nahkla, Fakher, and Al Waha. Last time I was there they had some Hookah Splash (I don't recommend it), and some Al Saefa samples. They have great hookahs and can be bargained with too. I bought a really nice rotater there for $80.00 with accessories, bag, shisha samples, coals, etc. THey were initially asking over $100.00 for it.

if you are looking for a selection, tempe/phoenix isnt the place to be. You might as well order online, tht is unless you are looking for layalina. I know a place tht carries almost every flavor

true that bro, there are no places in phoenix, especially tempe that have what i would consider a good selection. I live in teme and i go to a Place Called "Salam's Market" off of Apache, between McKlintock and Rural. They got a selection of hoses and medium grade tobacoo and the fat guy behind the counter will hook you up with this tobbacco he brings back from the middle east. A little sketchy but its some good stuff. Helps if you speak arabic too : )

crunchy, are you talking about the Salam's Market by the Mosque? There are a couple of places I go to on Apache between McKlintock and Rural. One is the Istanbul Market and the other is Haji Baba.

yea cafe instanbul sells layalina, some al fakher and thts bout the only place to pick up some decent shisha. I know a guy who is opening a new hookah bar in january and wants me to help him out with it. I'll make sure there is a good selection of fumari, layalina, al fakher, and hopefully some tangiers and this guy is chill about making money so he will sell it dirt cheap
