JoeLipinski
The main difference is that a good hose is washable, so you can clean out all the crud tha builds up in it. A bad hose is not, so you get all kinds of crap in it. When you have a lot of crap in it, it is more likely to allow particles to come into your mouth. Also a good hose is of good quality such as a mya hose (sounds like a repeating cd about people bringing up mya, but it is true).
DarthHookah
good hose? washable, long, durable, attractive, well made. bad hose? the opposite. i had a cobra hose from somewhere that was like 3 feet long. you practically had tohover over the hoohkah to smoke it. so i cut the hose off, bought an 8 foot long sump pump hose, made a sleeve out of satin, and made it a very long hose. now the problen is, its too big for my hookah; its hard to plugin anyway. better for larger hookahs. Joey32b
Just because a hose isn't washable, doesn't mean it's bad. I have a few unwashable leather hoses that have an amazing pull. You take a hit and the amount of smoke you draw can be unexpected. They are great. I like Mya hoses too, but they are not all washable. I have one that I thought was washable and I ruined it by washing it out. They do hit nicely as well though.
DarthHookah
yes, but there are other things that make hoses good. that was my point.
EvansLight
I feel washable is a big factor in how good the hose is, IMO. If its not washable, its already crap in my mind. Also looks, length, ease of draw, and construction determine how good it is
