King Mo
as promised, here are further reviews ROMMAN DOUBLE APPLE: here's an interesting one, highly recommended by Mathazar and cypress, Tobacco: romman tobacco, some wetness, same as other romman ,easy to use, although chunks are a little on the big side (could do with being smaller). Smells interesting, mild liquorice smell. Typical of bahraini apple. smoke: very smooth smoke, not a strong liquorice taste and easy to have. One of those standard flavours which are smokable by most. I must say though there is nothing spectacular about it, although it is very smooth. Overall: decent smoke, which to be honest, doesn't do much for me, and I'd say is about the same standard as nakhla tobacco, but smoother with a milder taste. This one I have to disagree with mathazar and cypress. I can see why you guys like it, but trust me, try Golden Bahraini, and you'll get the exact same effect, with smoother smoke and an improved taste. Golden bahraini is twice as good as this one Romman D.apple gets a 7 Romman Raspberry: tobacco: typical of romman, smell's good, maybe not quite raspberry, but something along those lines. Invites you to wanna smoke it Smoke: decent smoke, nice smooth flavour, which hits you alot more on the aftertaste. Almost like a raspberry bubble gum or something. Not a strong flavour, but enjoyable, and very easy to like for pretty much anyone. Not spectacular by any means. Overall: a nice decent flavour with a pleasant sweet raspberry-type aftertaste. very smooth. An interesting part of a collection, and worth a 50g pack to try. score: 8 coming up over next few days, Romm- orange, lemon, rose, pineapple
King Mo
just cos I'm in a smoking mood, I made another head here's the details (smoking it now) Romman pineapple: Tobacco: described the texture too many times in this thread. The smell is nice and inviting. A sweet artificial pineapple smell Smoke: decent taste, nothing spectacular, but beats the fakher pineapple (Which is not hard, considering it's the worst fakher flavour ) Not worth smoking too much as it does nothing, pretty much everything else is better to smoke. Overall: better than fakher pineapple, but the actual flavour of pineapple doesn't really suit shisha smoking. Not recommended. Average smoke
Mathazar
I didn't like the GS Bahraini Apple, I thought it was too weak in flavor for my tastes. I find that Romman Double Apple is much stronger in flavor, it has a nice clean, crisp, fresh taste that I really enjoy. Plus, with 2 Golden Coals it provides lots of smoke, an abundance of flavor, and it lasts a good long time. Of all the brands of Double Apple I've tried, I rate Romman's Double Apple a score of 10, for pure and utter perfection
tobbsman
I totally agree with Mathazar concerning the Fakher GS Bahraini Apple. For my taste it is the weakest GS flavor ! It should be the the premium version of Fakher's 'normal'-line 2Apples, but it isn't ! Instead it is priced 3 times more expensive and doesn't beat 2Apples. What a shame. I also have the problem that it gets harsh very fast, also when heaving the coals nearly 1 cm away ... it's always the same troubles with harshness ... anybody experienced the same? But there is one amazing mix with Fakher Apple flavor! ratio 90%FakherApple:10%GSBahraini ... this is my standard behreini Apple smoke, when I need some licorice tase under my tongue ... I also agree about the Romman 2Apples, that's indeed a outstanding piece of art and is worth its money. The other Romman flavors I consider as quite weak, except the Peach of course groetjes, tobbsman
King Mo
hmm, I have to disagree with you guys. Didn't find romman double apple too strong. With regards to golden bahraini, I found it a similar flavour to romman, both quite mild in comparison to other double apples I've tried, but I actually felt more flavour with the G.bahraini which I liked. I stand by my comments . I smoked the flavours with a friend so got a second opinion too. My friend liked the romman double apple a little better than me (perhaps an extra o.5-1 mark on top of my score. here are some further reviews. Romman Orange: tobacco: nice smell, not overly strong and inviting to smoke Flavour: not the strongest flavour in the world, and has an orangy feel to it, but nothing that really makes me want to smoke it again, my friend didn't like it too much either. I really do not see the appeal (sorry to the romman orange fans). Its a different type of flavour, but nothing remotely special. Would have preferred a bigger hit of flavour, and a sweeter smell. overall: not a strong flavour, nothing too bad though, but certainly not worth buying imo. 6.5 Romman Lemon: Tobacco: nice lemony smell. Something very inviting indeed, got me pretty excited. smoke: This is everything the orange should be. Beautiful amount of white smoke, lovely strong lemon flavour. quite brilliant really. definately one for a collection, and very different. Overall: I loved this one, it's great, wiht only one gripe, in that the lemon flavour itself could become a little sickly to smoke too much. But for every once in a while, it's great. Will have to check out the fakher lemon to see how it measures up, but this is the best romman I have tried. 9.
Mathazar
Yeah, the lemon ROCKS!!! I like mixing it with Hookah-Hookah Margarita for a superb Lemon/Lime flavor. The Lime REALLY complements the flavor of the Lemon.
anti-dentite
Thanks to King Mo & Math's reviews on this board, I ordered the following Al Fakhar flavors:1. Apple 2. Grape3. Coconut4. Apricot The first thing I noticed with the AF shisha is that it's very moist - the tobacco swims in a jelly like mixture, which makes this smoke very - as King Mo so correctly described it - "luxurious." I must admit that I didnt find the flavors as intense as I thought I would, but that was probably because I was enjoying the smoke so much since it's not harsh at all. I also get about an hour out of a bowl of this stuff, which is excellent. Of all four I have to say I enjoy the grape the most and the coconut the least. Although all of them have a similar smoke which I enjoy very much! Now to sample some of the other brands recommended by KM & Math!
MonkeyBiz
Figured I'd post a few on my own experiences on some of these flavors. These are going to be quick, and not as detailed as some of the others, hope that doesn't offend anyone. I ordered a sampler pack of Al-Fahker, with Apple, Grape, Lemon, Cherry, and Melon. And had some Romman Strawberry and Peach AF Grape Amazing. Great smell, great taste, great smoke. I've smoked this twice and loved it. AF Apple Meh. Tastes like licorice (not my favorite flavor). A little harsh, but not bad. AF Lemon Did not like it. I may have overpacked the bowl on this one, but I definitely could taste the burning from the charcoals. Not that great. I may try it again. AF Cherry Not bad. Very candy flavor. Decent smoke. AF Melon Also amazing. Right up there with Grape as one of my new favorites. Romman Strawberry Very tasty. Not a bad flavor. Nice smoke. Romman Peach Also good. Not a strong flavor, nice aftertaste. I liked it.

anti-dentite
You definitely have to plan way in advance to make sure you have the right amount of shisha on-hand at all times. I've noticed it takes awhile to receive my shipments from some of the online providers, so I order plenty at a time! Reaper - I'll enjoy my AF shish tonight in your honor! Mathazar
Well, I ordered 1200 grams of Fumari today, along with 1000grams of Romman, and 9 boxes of Golden Coals, all for Overnite delivery. It wasn't cheap, but it'll last me quite awhile. The flavors I got were: Fumari White Peach, Watermelon, Guava, and Cream Soda Romman Strawberry and Double Apple And 9 boxes of Golden Coals comes out to 900 coals. Definitely will last me awhile. But, I'm really pissed, I forgot to get some AF Apricot, I've been wanting to try that out for months now
RuarriP
I just tried Nakhla Cola flavour, and I don't know how much better a premium flavour could taste. Thick smoky goodness, cool taste (though not exactly the same as my conception of 'cola') burned slow and even....awesome Complemented my rye and coke quite well Even the texture of the smoke seemed to be more ... I don't know, ....silky, smooth. At any rate, I highly recommend Nakhla's cola flavour. BTW Mathazar enjoy all 2.2 kilos of smoking, wow that's a lot...don't smoke yourself stupid, try to get a little oxygen once in a while.
Mathazar
Thanks Ruarri.......I've already started feeling the effects of smoking to much ma'assel, as I've been coughing quite a bit lately. I need to slow down. I thought about quitting, but that's not an alternative because I'm too addicted to this stuff. So, I'm going to have to discipline myself to only smoke a few bowls a day, rather than 5 to 10 bowls. Although, it's gonna be hard slowing-down with all that GREAT Fumari White Peach & Watermelon. I've heard people rave about the Guava, I hope the Cream Soda is just as good
RuarriP
Mathazar: With your newfound dicipline you should be independant of these stores for quite some time Everyone: If anyone knows of a site with cheap international shipping, let me know so I can try these premium brands that all sound wicked. Gamaliel
cypress, check out the af cola,it is indeed the best cola out there.I'm not a big fan of cola or rootbeer candies, but the af is right on target

RuarriP
Nathalie, Is your info from personal experience? If so, does the package slip under the radar of Canada Customs? I don't want to pay their ridiculous duties... Aside from that $9 sounds coolsville! King Mo
hmm an interesting point, there seems to be 2 kinds of apple fakher one with a red tobacco ,and one with a pale brown colour. Not sure if there's a difference in taste. but just noticed when comparing 2 packs.
King Mo
anyone got apple fakher??? please check the tobacco and tell me what colour it is. I have 2 at home. One is red, one is brown. I think the brown one is slightly better.
King Mo
there is NO APPLE that is like Apple fakher. just smoking it now and I just want to lie down and enjoy life I think the brown version is the nice one, this was the ultimate apple smoke which I was looking for and didnt know what it was. (i tried apple fakher at a cafe a year or two ago and loved it and never quite found the same flavour, even after buying apple fakher myself.) This is the one. i still dont know why there is a colour difference, maybe some one can find out
Mathazar
My Apple Fakher is brown and smells like bananas Infact, it tastes more like Banana than the Banana flavor Although Hookah-Hookah Apple has declined a bit in flavor over recent months, I still prefer it to anything else out there. It smells like Apple and it tastes like Apple.
