Scheetz
Anyone have any experiences with the Lebanese hookahs? I am curious as to how the bowls are, I am assuming there is no difference in smoke quality even though one is a male bowl and the other is a female bowl. Just curious, cause I am tempted to order one. a full hookah not the bowl for my Egyptian. thanks.
ioannisds
I always thought that was Syrian style, not Lebanese. WTF do I know though. Do you have a link?
mushrat
I've heard them called both, my "syrian" actually says "syria" on the vase, but came dhl from beruit.. One positive note, and the only real difference ive EVER found between my male/female bowl styles...the jouices drip down the shaft and make less of a mess with the syrian/lebanese/male bowl hookah. jtemes
my fisrt ever hookah was a brass Syrian/Lebanese Hookah. It's still my favorite hookah, only problem is Tangiers doesnt make male bowls. it is a little bit trickier to get the bowl to fit snug but nothing a little hockey tape cant fix. yashman19
I have one of Taqseem's first Stargate hookahs, and it came with an adapter that you can screw ontop of the tray, and it accepts syrian style heads. But I never really used it because the syrian head was half the size of the egyptian head. Thats probably going to be the biggest difference, is trying to find a big syrian bowl. All the ones I've seen were pretty tiny. Egyptian style bowls are just so much easier to come by, since everyone uses that style. The only site I can think of that carries syrian heads is HookahCompany.com, and all of them look pretty small as well.
killersnowman
i have a mya bohemian syrian style hookah. i LOVE the syrian style bowls. to me it seems like a much better way of securing the bowl. seems to stay on better. yea.....
LUXOR HOOKAHS
I have found the Syrian bowls are usually deeper. Which means if you keep the coals coming, you can smoke for a longer time. Killer... I agree, I have never had a Syrian (male) head break, but I have had many Egyptian (female) heads break. The Syrian compresses the stem of the head, The Egyptian pushes it outwards (any slight crack and it's finished)
Sonthert
Syrian heads tend to be far smaller, so there would be less juice to drip down, as well. I've found they tend to unseat and make a poor seal more frequently.
