skiracerj1
After re-reading my post, I think I may have been a tad too harsh, sometimes I get a little overly passionate about stuff when i start to write. I guess I just meant to say that perhaps we can tone down the mod involvement, not get rid of them entirely. I dont want you or any of the other mods out, I'm just issuing a complaint, but people complian about there leaders all the time, however that doesnt mean they want them gone, but rather they want them to adjust their leadership style slightly, thats all. Macho555
Well. I suppose now that its gotten large enough, I'll give a post. I for one think the mods, all of them, are doing wonderful jobs. I grew tired of watching chats, forums, etc that I inhabited being taken over by idiots that thoguht they could simply say whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted because "its just a forum". The internet is the new universe of communication. It's small houses need people watching too. I really don't think mushy in particular gets a measure of satisfaction from what he does, but if he DOES, then why shouldn't he? People that do decent jobs should have happiness from it. That's my take.
ASUSEAN1
WELL THIS HAS GOTTEN PRETTY INTENSE... 1. I really don;t care if you use me as an example.. so go ahead and use my name. I know what I did was wrong and apologized so thats over with. 2. Taking this from a first hand experience, at first i was pretty pissed that they publicly announced my suspension but I got over it. They wouldnt have had to do it if I wasnt such a smart ass at the time. Although i must say I never had a good chance to explain myself about some of the things I said 3. In my opinion the mods should continue banning/suspending people publicly so they know why they were kicked off and so others no in the future not to say something 4. the whole comment i made tht it was 420 in the states.. it was really 4:20 in chicago.. no joke.. wasnt referring to drugs 5. I had my 1 warning and after that the things I said werent ment to be offensive. 6. After all is said and done, as far as my case, It is over with. I have watched what I have said lately and try to only post helpful things. I am sorry once again if anyone has thought otherwise. I can be a sarcastic person like many other people on the forum and usually dont mean what I really said in a serious way (i'll add more to this later im kinda busy)
EvansLight
I guess i need to add my 2 or 4 cents. Ive been hanging out around this forum for a lil over a year, and last august i joined up into the discussion. Since then ive seen Mushrat, Yash, and Sonthert do what was needed, and what they had to do. Now in the last month or so, ive been given a large honor and become that new lil mod they talk about. As such ive gotten a good look at the discussion that goes on behind the scenes, and get to take part in discussing what happens to the people and topics that we moderate. As such i can say that im even more behind how the admins, they do what needs to be done. Ive helped run many of my friends sites, and ive ran quite a few of my own. Ive also ran communities that rival, and some that beat these forums. I can say that the mods here are doing one of the best jobs ive seen. There not some people that almost seem like bots, just removing bad posts, and banning people, there real forum members, who everyone knows. They are a part of this forum, and as such are better inclined to do whats best for it. The way it works with showing whos been banned, or suspended, i think is something we need to have. It lets others know that you cant just sneak things in and expect to be let off. Ive seen alot of people say that they didnt see what happened, so they cant say anything on the subject, and i think that just speaks of how well the admins, and us mods are taking care of this place. Theres almost always one of us on, and as soon as something happens, it gets moved to a special forum, and we discuss it and decide what to do. We all give input, even us lowly mods And with the mix of people that are the admins, the discussion stays balanced on how to punish them, and how soon and harsh we should. So IMO, i think the admins and mods make this place as good as it is. While i agree, the forums have gotten jumpy, like the Hookahshop incident, in which they quickly made things right. Its gotten so just a small suspicion and boom the members jump on the "tar and feather" bandwagon. I personally always have a pot of hot tar ready and boiling, but at the same time, i wait and give the other people time, before i get ready to give them a nice coat of tar. Overall i think the members need to hold back on jumping on peoples butts, just as much as the mods do, but at the same time, i think the mods and admins are doing what they are supposed to do, and better than most. I think the HH stuff and the few member problems recently have just got everyone on edge, so smoke a bowl and lets chill /End Rant at 1am and half asleep XD
