Tin Foil

Any way that is better than another in response to holes (diameter of hole, number of holes, etc.) and how big are usual tin foil squares? 3X3?

hmm when i use a regular bowl i like to use a lot of small pin holes but that takes a lot of time. Now, I only smoke the funnel and I just use the poker on the tongs to make a ring of holes around the bowl.. its really just personal preference, and what works best for the coals you use.

Just tear off enough foil to cover the bowl and secure it down... I personally use a corn cob holder and fill the surface area with holes for regular bowls, but a ring of holes around the outside for phunnels.

ive used anything from a needle to slits from a knife and just about everything in between. as long as you have enough holes to get heat and air through the tobacco you should be fine.

I use a crab fork, and just stab all over the bowl...its always worked well enough for me.

I try and use small holes, because I find I don't burn the shisha when i do, whenever I use the poker on the tongs I end up frying everything.

if i do use foil, i just kinda randomly poke holes, dont really care about size XD me and foil dont get along to well. Screens FTW

I still use a sowing needle to poke about 34,548 holes in the foil. Teeny Tiny Tiny Holes!

I tried this little beauty. You have to put your foil on a soft "rubbery" surface to make holes.
Same principal as laying on a bed of nails. Many little points push the whole foil down - you have to kind of push the foil past the points to make the holes[img]http://www.web-ranking-reports.com/Products/Accessories/Screen-Pincher.asp

I heard about those things...I saw something similiar in walmart. I was a stand, that hold styrofoam, and it was 3 bucks. I keep thinking about picking one up.

I believe in the oyster fork. A smaller than normal fork, used to poke holes. Plastic forks have spines that rip the foil, so get a nice stainless steel one. Can I get an amen to the oyster fork!?!
