Nakhla Peach surprised me

Recommended Posts

When I first started doing the hookah thing I tried some Nakhla and didn't care much for it. Today I gave it another shot. I had just enough peach left to fill a large phunnel bowl. I had been surprised at how much better the AW arab coffee smoke in the phunnel, so I thought maybe it would improve the Nak aswell. Boy did it ever. The pipe is a 34" rotator with icey water in the jar. An hour into this bowl and it's smoking mild and sweet fluffy clouds with plenty of flavor. No edgy back of the throat tickle. No bitterness. I may just have to get some more of this. BTW, the buzz is very nice too.

And to think I almost tossed it out

I've gone four sets of coals now, maybe three hours total and this bowl is still pretty fresh. The flavor has changed a litttle, but it's still very good. When you consider the 25 g. of Nak cost around $1. and lasts for - I'm guessing at least 5 hours - it doesn't seem such an extravagant use of shisha. Especially considering I found this brand and flavor almost unpalatable in a standard egyptian bowl. sad.gif

Curiosity got the better of me and I just peeled off the foil for a look. There's enough left for at least 2-3 more sets of coals. Amazing. laugh.gif

OK. I've gone six plus hours on this bowl of Nak peach and while there is still good flavor and reasonably good smoke volume, I'm ready for somthing fresh. This bowl was not completely full to the foil. Just a few pieces of shisha stuck to the foil so, it could have held another 2-3 grams. Next time I try this I will weigh out the amount before I start. I am definately getting some more of this peach! laugh.gif
