To declare it as gift is no solution. The problem is the packaging of the Shisha boxes. On every box is something about tobacco written... ZAP Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 I placed an order with SS a couple of days ago for 5250g of tobacco.They sent an email back to me telling me it was not advisable to ship that much in one go as it could get seized since it happened to a UK customer last month. Straight away I thought of you They were telling me to make multiple orders of 1000g each but that is going to be really expensive.After reading this thread, I just sent them an email asking them if they could kindly remove all tobacco from their packaging and send it labelled as potpourri.Hopefully this won't happen to me, fingers crossed! I think theres a tale in the newsfeed section here about a Canadian guy thats in hot water for untaxed shisha..... and it wasnt like it was an operation either....Be careful guys.... Death and Taxes. He will have his own.As for the packaging.... I speculate on this.The last box of shisha I got had a statement on it saying that import taxes were paid on the product. I dont know if this actually has any bearing on the matter.... but the imported packaging may have to remain with the product... maybe a licence stipulation. Shopped with SS twice and got charged once. I don't want to buy again from Hookahcompany because their prices are higher and when I got Layalina from them before, it came in boxes rather than jars which tasted crap. I'm going to have to rent a PO box or something in the states, I'm only about an hour and a half from Plattsburg!Sorry to hear for your misfortune but can't you order from the middle east without having to pay those fees? or find a way to import it under massel or shisha?
