LuxOR541
SO I was running low on coals, and had to make aa pitstop into a local headshop to buy some overpriced goldens. They carry a LOT of al waha and the price isn't horrible, so idecided to try a new flavor. I bought a 250 gram tub of guava because it smelled awesome. I normally don't smoke many unwashed tobaccos, but I love AW after 9, and the 5 star and bounty weren't bad, so ithought I'd give it a try. Fast forward to after dinner, time to light up. Packed the bowl the usual way, just below the foil. Careful with the heat, regular weight aluminum foil etc. The maassel never burned, but it tasted NOTHING like it smelled. Instead of a fruity guava flavor, it actually had more fo a clove/allspice taste, and made my tongue a little numb. My wife actually said the room smelled spicy even before she knew what I was smoking. Not being a big fanof the flavor, I cut it short after about 20 minutes and prepped my backup bowl with Al Amir blackberry. I guess I am just wondering if this is typical of other "guava" flavors. If anyone likes the Al Waha Guava in particular, or is after somethign that probably tastes like clove cigarettes I would be willing to trade. It's one small bowl smoked out of a 250gr tub. The flavor definitely wasn't affected by cross contamination factors... nothing else I have tastes like this and I am meticulously clean with my hookahs. Anyone got reccomendations on a good fruity juicy guava preferably in a washed tobacco? I was going to order a 250gr Al Amir guava but if it has this same sort of taste, I'm not interested.
