Washed and Un-washed tobacco

Recommended Posts

Washed: .05% niccotine content, brands include: Havana, Al Fakher, Starbuzz (newer batches), Al Amir
Unwashed: .5% niccotine content, brands include: Al Waha, Nakhla, Tangiers, Layalina, Romman

They smoke similarly, niccotine doesnt really affect the smoking too much. Unwashed brands will give you a bigger "buzz"

actually, just to be nit picky..I think Tang says his is .3% but he may just saying that to be contrary.

Taste wise there's no difference I can tell...

the tobacco plants all very, esp. during different times of the season. I doubt companies actually test all their tobacco. For all we know it could range from the washed .05 to maybe even .8

i heard washed tobacco gives a grayer smoke while unwashed gives a whiter colored smoke...

probably BS but if someone could confirm it would be nice smile.gif

I can smoke washed tobacco solo for the duration off the bowl. With brands like al waha, etc. my head starts spinning after half an hour if I'm not careful. I can minimize this by not smoking on an empty stomach, drinking tons of water while I smoke, etc. I smoke more for flavor than for a buzz. I've got liquor and homebrew for that.
