ninjalover187
I have smoked since I was 16, now I'm 20. A pack during the week and 2 pacs over the weekend. I plow through them when Im drinking. Once I got a new car I quit smoking in the car, which helped a lot. I have not smoked one since New Years...yes I'm quitting. I have very light asthma and I have noticed lately is have been hard to breath occasionally. I strted smoking hookah about a month ago and it is amazing. Damn I just want a cig but I am strongly resisting. Anyone who is quitting GOOD LUCK just stick with it.

azcoyote
Cigs?I was smoking 7-10 hand rolled American Spirit tobacco cigs a day when I switched to hookah. I enjoy one bowl on week nights and two or three /day on most weekends. No more cigs for me now! I like a fine cigar now and then - once a month maybe. If I'm hiking, shooting targets or playing my bass or just don't want to smoke, I use a little dip or snort some tobacco snuff. Snuffing is the most discrete (and economical) way to get tobacco satisfaction ever invented. It's been used continuously for over 300 years and had a lot going for it. There is an immediate nicotine lift. It clears the nasal passages and opens the sinuses. There are many intriguing flavors to choose from. For the ultra discrete, use a dark-colored hanky. A snuffing session for me is like this. I take a couple pinches, blow my nose five minutes later. Take another couple pinches. Repeat this four or five times and I'll have a huge nicotine buzz. If you get into this relatively benign diversion, it's a good practice to douche your nose with a netti pot or ear syringe with warm saline before retiring. The solution is 1 teaspoon table salt per quart of purified water. Having a snuff box in my pocket is perfect for when my friends light up cigs and I am tempted to burn one. girlgeek
When I hookah I don't smoke cloves, but when I don't get a hookah I smoke djarum handrolled. I also get my smoke on when school's in. (I babysit grad students for a living, after getting off work I _need_ a smoke.)
fewwdragon
I smoke alittle bit of everything. My favorites though is hookah, pipes, cigars, cloves, everything else in that order. I am more of a social smoker though i smoke cigs only when they are offered to me and have never bought a pack. On the other hand I could never do snuff I think it is a disgusting habit because of the spitting and the lump in someones mouth no offense azcoyote. I'll agree it's not appropriate for every occasion, but there are times when it's very satisfying for me. . I go days or weeks between oral tobacco sessions. Very rarely would I go for more than two consecutive days using it. Some folks use half a can of Skoal or Cope and on a daily basis. That disgusts even me. And it becomes a serious health risk at that level. The neat thing about using various forms of tobacco is that it can give a fresher experience of each one than when it's a daily routine. If I have a box of fine cigars and smoke them every day until they're gone, I won't enjoy the last one nearly as much as the first. But if I break one out every third or forth day, I will enjoy each one as much as the first. Maybe that's just me. I took cigarettes out of the rotation because they are too just hard on my lungs. Cigars stay because I can enjoy them without inhaling. Nothing like a fine cigar. Hookah is my most frequent and satisfying smoke. But to give my lungs a break, I go for a couple days with nasal snuff or a very small bit of chew. Then I'll nurse a cigar all day without inhaling. Then back to the hookah. I get more enjoyment this way. I suspect that by spreading the cellular damage over a wider area and timeframe, I give my body a better chance to repair itself.
