CaliforniaRose
So I have a friend who really wants to try hookah, however she's terribly allergic to nightshades (types of plants that include eggplant, tomato and tobacco). She can eat these foods if there incredibly cooked, however I don't think the hookah would get hot enough for her not to have an allergic reaction. So as much as everyone hates it I was thinking of picking up some Soex or Black Label so she could come and smoke with us? Thoughts and Suggestions of legal things to smoke that arent bees and cotton balls? But seriously, what is in Soex and Black Label anyone know if they have nightshade plants in them? Tobes
that may work, but the black label tasted really bad, and i wont reccomend smoking it. so besides that I dont have any, maybe your friend just isnt made to smoke hookah, i mean i can really understand that she wants to but if she was born allergic, then maybe she wasnt cut out for smoking, or eating eggplants, haha. majoru
Soex is sugar cane bagasse as a base... who knows what they add in relation to flavourings, though? Because it's not a foodstuff, it doesn't need a full ingredients list unless the manufacturer feels like it... I guess she could try a bit of the syrup on her skin and see if she has a contact reaction, if she really wants to risk it, that and make sure she has an Epipen on her. Is it really worth the risk and fuss?
CaliforniaRose
Apparently to her it might be, shes the one that asked me. I told her tobaccoo was a bad idea, but she was curious what was in tobacco alternattives and well, I had no clue.
fizzgig
I'm looking at Soex blackberry and the ingredients are as follows: ugarsay anecay agassebay + molasses + preservatives + flavour. I'm also allergic to many (ughhhh, very many) foods and am on a strict rice and meat diet but I can smoke all of the flavors of shisha that I am highly allergic to if I ingest them as food. Prob why I luv to smoke so much!!! Of course if she goes into anaphylactic shock or something like that from her food allergies I don't think I'd risk trying it!! CaliforniaRose
Her food allergies aren't that bad, its a very unpleasent scratchy throat thing. And the more something is heated the less allergic she is to it.
