I saw something on Unwrapped on FoodTV where they say it has to do with the way it's made, because it's two plys of thin aluminum sheets rolled together or something. I use stainless pots to cook in. I do use foil at low heat for roasts/ribs, but nothing over 250 degrees. For hookah. I got one of those tea spoons that is a double screen for 'loose' tea.
