not really. If she is moving to Florida it is cheaper to drive. Cost of gas is cheaper than buying a plane ticket and $750 shipping cost.

Unless you are driving a damn SUV that wont get any decent mpg then driving is the cheapest.

However, shipping those crates will probably be more than shipping a car. You cant load crates onto a flatbed truck like they do with cars.

You are going to need to hire a larger shipping unit, along with something putting it on a crate and wrapping it up. Obviously it will need to be a company with a lift, and if you are shipping to a residential location they will increase the price.

It was somewhere around 150-200 to have my transmission shipped from Ohio to VA.

The accepted rate for doing mileage reimbursements is around 44 cents a mile now, which would probably be more than $750 plus plane ticket. That figure is supposed to account for the value lost on the car due to the added mileage on the odometer, in addition to the money spent on gas. Add to that the hassle and (maybe) lost work time of driving a car across the country, and having it shipped makes sense.

Not moving to Florida though. My boyfriends grandmother is getting too old to drive (shes over 92) and has decided to give her car up. So he is getting the car since he's the oldest grandchild (his name is Josh) that needs a car. If we drive back from Florida we have to cut our visit with his grandmother in half since it takes 4-5 days of driving. Plus the cost of gas, hotel rooms and food. So we decided at 750 its cheaper to have it shipped across state. Also since I won't know how to drive well enough by then (I grew up in SF no one drives there) it means 10+ hours of driving a day for Josh which is pretty tough.

Mystery Solved.

Me and my friend went from Chicago IL all the way to ASU in tempe Arizona, and it only took us like 40 hours. Of course i ment it was cheaper if you just go straight through, that way you dont have to pay for a hotel room, only red bull, jerky, burgers and gas.

I would be surprised if it was only 750 dollars. My guess is it'd be about double that. A car is actually fairly compact for its weight. 150 hookah boxes will take most of a bobtail or small to med. moving van.

of course the biggest worry is whether this is legitimate. Its fun to play along and all but I have my doubts.

Ok I made a final count today I have 162 cases of molasses and 31 cases of coals most of the coals are natural type I have about 5 cases of quicklights disks and 7 cases of the silver coated stick Blak Magic. I have 3 serious buyers at this point but as of right this second no one has made a solid fianacial commitment. for those that have questioned weather I was legit or not I understand your concern but there are many here that you can talk to and they will tell you I am true to my word .
