mushrat
Ok..i know this has been talked about a few times, and I've tried with moderate success with regular way..but I finnaly broke down and tried...chopping up my tangiers kasmir with a knife into smaller bits. I'm sorry, I knwo I've sinned, but with 3 1/4 pieces of 3 kings, on a screen, with a partially filled bowl, and I just had one of the best smokes I've ever had. Please forgive me tang ol' friend...but if thats what i have to do to really enjoy your tobacco EVERY time, then thats what I have to do. My friend blew out a left lung...but i am sitting here with a mellow grin on my face and the taste of heaven on my lips.
skiracerj1
glad to hear that, how did u cut it exactly? the reason i ask is because i've tried this and it always makes the smoke much WORSE than when i just leave the cut alone. The way I did it was to open up each big leaf and tear it up into smallish nahkla sized pieces, but as I said this didnt work to well for me. mushrat
I used a sharp paring knife and chopped it up on a cutting board, not as fine and gritty as Al Amir but finer than say Nakhla. Filled my standard mya bowl about 1/2 to 3/4 full, used a screen and 3/4 of a golden in 3 parts around the screen...Beautiful.... I think some of you folks work WAY to hard at this... Oh and I acclimated it about 3 hours.
Macho555
I remember someone using an herb grinder...I'll try this with my next bowl of Tangy. Now, where in the hell will I get a sharp paring knife? HA

EliteHookah.com
I'm embarrassed to say that I have not yet tried Tangiers. But after all the threads that I read about how difficult it is to get it to smoke right, is it really worth all of the effort? I'm not trying to be a dick, this is a legitimate question that I'm wondering about... as I'll soon be back in the "tobacco purchaser" crowd. ASUSEAN1
ohh yes it is!!! tangiers isnt even much trouble, plus the taste/buzz is amazing
mushrat
Ya, it actually is worth the effort. There is nothing you're likely tosmoke that tatses like Tangiers. It may not end up being to your liking, but you should atleast give it a fair shot. *I* think its worth the trouble, heck, I think its worth the EXTRA trouble, to smoke it. skiracerj1
definately worth the trouble, and I just got done trying your method mush and it did improve the smoothness a little, not enough to justify doing it everytime I smoke the stuff, but on ocassion when your smokin with pink lungers its definately worth it
DizzyGuy
Here's where I wanna try something... it was meantioned before by someone... use an herbgrinder on Tangiers... it'd get it just as fine or more so than a knife and easier... but I guess different strokes for different folks
TCNJHookah
I think I was the first one to mention this. I started out doing it with an herb grinder, but lately I've just been throwing my packs of Tangiers into a blender as I get them, then empty it into its container. Great smokes every time and I never have to worry about chopping it up before every bowl.

JoeLipinski
I am smoking a bowl of tangiers raspberry right now, I cut the tobacco up pretty small, about as small as naklah, and it is soooo good, still a little strong, but it is very good. this def. enhances the flavor. I suggest everyone should try this. forgive me Eric .
