Any hookah shops in North NJ?

Recommended Posts

I dont know exactly where you are, but there's a place called Cigar King in Nanuet, NY, which is maybe 5 minutes from the NY/NJ border via the Garden State.

They sell tobacco (AW, Havana, Nakhla, Romman, Fumari) and I think coals and nargilehs too. Good prices ($3/50g Havana), nice place too.

Their #: (845) 624-2667

i made the trip there today. if u plan on buying coal or like hookah accessories then dont go cuz its REALLY over priced. a mya qt was i think $60ish. when i went they have 4 romman flavors. orange, pineapple, cocktail and i forgot the othe ( these were 50g box) $4.95, if u want al waha 50g they had a lot of different types. i think it was $3. they also have about 6-8 flavors 250g jars of al waha for $10, and i think they had the 250g box for $7. they have a few havana for $3 i think, no fakher, no nakhla. they have fumari 100g for $10 and had maybe 5 flavors, i myself bought a 2o piece of fumari coals for about $3 one cream soda 100g fumari, for $10.. and two al waha after nine for $10 each. the fumari is a very smooth smoke and lasts a long time, the after nine tastes like Andes to me. the coal burns very well. so if its close to you then check it out. i drove about 35 miles. i didnt think it was worth it.

What makes you say that was a bad deal? Just a quick check on H-S:
$8 AW box, compared to $7 AW box at the store. -->Advantage store
$9 jar on H-S compared to $10 jar at store -->Advantage online
$3.95 50g Havana on H-S, $3 in store --> Advantage store
$4.95 50g Romman on H-S, same in store --> No advantage

Seems decently priced to me.

I go to this place in Paterson because i live like 15 mins from there. Its in the turkish districts and its really good. They have hundreds of hookahs and every accessory you could ever want. They also have a whole bunch of different brands of tobacco (nahklah aw af aa) plus home made tobacco. That stuff is pretty good. On top of that, everything is cheap. its my fav place on earth

I don't know where the rest of you NJers are, but there's a place in South River on Main Street called the St. Mark's Convenience Store. They have a limited amount of hookahs and hookah supplies and they mostly carry Nakhla. I have gotten Al Fakher once there and the owner told me that they were going to be getting more in. I'm hoping and waiting.

If you live any distance from South River I wouldn't bother making the trip for tobacco or hookas, but if you're in the neighborhood and you're in a pinch, stop in. Who knows, if more people stop in request different products, they'll expand their inventory.

One thing they do sell that is a must have (at least for me) is their natural coals. They sell for 2 bucks a bag (about 1 lb) and in my opinion, these coals rock. They beat the piss out of Romman coals any day.

They have a lot of nahklah, but also have al waha and al fahkler. Their prices on hookah prices cannot be beaten.

Thanks for that tip. Great place. I just went there for the first time today. They have everything you could possibly want (including spare bases, bowls, hoses, grommets... the list goes on). There is also another place called The Nouri Middle Eastern Market (if I recall correctly), across the street a block or so south of there. Great hookah selection and a really interesting selection of tobacco. A lot of stuff I've never heard of in addition to Nakhla and Al Fakher. They even have plain, whole tocacco leaves for the adventurous do-it-yourselfer. If you're in the North Jersey area, do not hesitate to drop by either place. There are also some great middle eastern restaurants there too, as well as a couple of hardcore shisha cafes. I didn't try the hookah bars, because I was with my wife, and since I didn't see a single woman in any of them, I didn't want to cause any offense.

awsome. I plan to go up to paterson next week.

Do they have starbuzz or fusion shisha up there? Or is it just regular al fakhar, lalyina, and etc..?

I'm also looking for an acrylic hookah and new bowls... any chance of phunnels?

tru. I can't wait to go up there and check out actual stores. Hopefully they have a nice selection with decent prices... so I'm not forced to go down to Rutgers to pick up my shit at really high prices.

The place I went to, the Middle East Gift Center, had Nakhla, Al Fakher, Havana and some al Waha, that's it, but they had plenty of it. As for bowls, yes they had them, but I didn't see any phunnels. I did see a lot of MYA hookahs.

There's another shop I know of called Nouri Middle Eastern Market, across the street from Middle Eastern Gift Shop and about a block or so south on Main St. Again, they pretty musch have the same selection of Nakhla, AF and AW, but they also have some brands I've never heard of. I think they're strictly molassas, no other flavor. Prices seem to be about a buck or so less than on the internet. For example, I paid 12.95 for 250g of AF at hookah-shisha.com. In Paterson, $11.99. On the net, a 250g Nakhla jar, around $9.95. In Paterson, $6.99. You get the idea. Plus you save on the shipping.
