Leaking Air From Mya Bohemian Vace. What Should I Do?

Recommended Posts

Is mya good about replacing defective parts? what is your experience with leaking vases. I bought the unit from southsmoke.com , the vace has a chrome screw in in, and the air leak comes from under the chrome part, makes a annoying whissling sound.

I contacted Mya twice and still no answer. How come they don't answer phone or return calls?

Dude, first of all it sounds like the leak is coming from the stem. Mya is great for customer service but since you bought your pipe from Southsmoke it is them you'll need to contact with any issues. Good luck, man.

It is very possible that the vase is leaking.

The metal part that provides the thread for the stem is hot glued on I believe..... I noticed some excess hot glue on mine when I first got it.

If all attempts fail at rectifying with MYA (have you emailed them as well?) fail.... you could fix yourself by gently heating up the metal and removing, cleaning the old glue away and re-glueing with hot glue yourself. Or, just heat it up till the glue becomes soft again and give it a 1/8th of a turn. let it cool back down and try again.
