Scheetz
nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you wash it off really well. Otherwise like some other members have done, they had a background taste of soap in their next bowl.

DizzyGuy
Yeah, it will work fine, I'd just make sure that you run water through the stem for a few minutes... I guess this is one way you could also add that "lemony fresh taste"

Comes out great and it leaves its own lemony fresh taste.

EvansLight
Yea i just cleaned my family of hookahs the other day for the first time in months XDSat the stems and parts in lemon juice and hot water mixtures, and put hot water and lemon juice in the bases. Let em sit for 30 minutes, then took the brushes to em. Dry and let site for a bit to fully air dry. Smelled brand new after that As for soap, when im out of lemon juice, i do use soap

DizzyGuy
I usually use around a 50/50 mix... I buy one of those large bottles of lemon juice, lasts for awhile.
hookahmike
There is a good reasoning behind lemon juice (or vinegar, even tomato juice in a pinch). All the above are very weak acids which will remove any corosion in brass pipes, etc and things also entrapped in said corosion. It will also clean up any solder joints along the way the same way.In stainless hookahs, the lemon just helps clean & add a nice flavor I think. If you use vinegar, give it a quick bath afterwards w/ baking soda & water to kill any possible vinegar taste.Hope this helps someone...
