Calling All Eskandarani Apple Fans...

Recommended Posts

I am placing an order shortly for some shisha of new flavors I have yet to try, so I am asking the collective opinion of the forum...

Who, in your obvious opinion, makes the best Eskandarani Apple?

Thanks! Edited by ghostofdavid

Having both the AF golden and Layalina, I would say that I like them both. I would describe the AF golden as being much more floral, sour (in an appleish way) and fragrant in general than the Layalina. It's also quite a bit more expensive. The Layalina is also quite good in my opinion, but it isn't quite as good by itself (but makes a fantastic mix when combined with mint). Both are really enjoyable and it just depends on how much you want to spend. Smoke is great from both, although the specific texture is slightly different. Not a big deciding factor between them, for me.

Basically, if you want to smoke it only by itself, I would say to go for the AF golden, cash permitting. If you are fine mixing, the Layalina is a great choice. Not to say that the Layalina isn't good by itself, because it is, but anyway... this description has gone on too long.

(side note: the reason I have both is because I ordered the Layalina version from Hookahcompany and they sent me the AF golden, then when I told them what happened they sent me the Layalina on top of it. Nice guys.) Edited by Glottis

This is where I wish Golden AF came in 50g samples. I've never tasted any Eskandarani tobacco and currently thinking about it. I don't like any tobacco that has a floral taste to it. Can anyone confirm whether or not this statement above is true? I'm looking for an apple flavour, one without anise and one without hints of flowers.

Well, I can tell you that even though I found hints of anise / floralness, I found them very nice in this particular tobacco. Normally, I hate the flavors and avoid them at all costs, since they seem to ruin basically any other apple flavor. Al Amir Sour Apple is the only apple flavor that completely lacks them (that I can think of), and it's good, but I actually enjoy Golden AF Esk. Apple more because those flavors actually add to it, and at the same time don't hide the sour apple taste.

Basically, I'm saying that you shouldn't ignore this tobacco because it has those flavors, because it uses them differently than other tobaccos.
