tingjunkie
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm a noob and haven't mastered the search feature yet. (Side question: how do I search for an exact phrase?) In particular, I was curious to know if Fumari is washed or not? Their site has no FAQ.Thanks
Sir Tony
I know Starbuzz is washed, I think Layalina is too. To search for exact phrases put the phase in quotes. Edited December 21, 2006 by Sir Tony
fizzgig
Don't feel bad... I can't find a list of washed tobaccos using the search feature, either. You'd think retailers would provide this info... we can't be the only ones who'd like to know. Anyways , I thought Laylina was washed as well (people here refer to it as having a "washed buzz") but it's unwashed. The washed tobaccos that I'm certain of are Al Fakir. Al Amir, Havana, and the newer lots of starbuzz. Don't know about Fumari, sorry.
CaliforniaRose
I know Romman and Tangiers are unwashed, but I'm not sure which ones are washed.
skiracerj1
layalina is unwashed, check the box it says .5%, basically if the box sys .5% its unwashed and if it says .05% its washed. Washed brangds that I can think of off the top of my head are al amir, al fahker, fumari, starbuzz (although some older batches my not be), and havana, I'm sure there are more but those are the ones on the top of my head

Im guessing washed nicotine content is higher? i have no idea, someone fill me in here please! Washed typically means less nicotine (.05%) and unwashed means more nicotine (.5%). To me it reminds me of decaf coffee vs. regular coffee. They wash the nicotine out of the tobacco sort of like they wash the caffiene out of decaf coffee using the swiss water process. That being said i'm not sure how scientifically similar the two processes are but they remind me of each other.
Sonthert
There has been alot of mispackaging going around. Despite what the package says, it may or may not be washed. There is no legal requirement for a manufacturer to post accurate nicotine numbers on the package. Thats convenient, because any company who puts tar-0.0% is lying or incorrect. Glycerine would be considered tar. Here is the list as I have understood:Washed UnwashedLayalina (Used to be unwashed) NahklaAl Amir Al WahaAl Fahker TangiersPharoahs (?) (Used to be Unwashed) RommanHavana Al MajlisStarbuzz (Used to be unwashed) BahrainiFumariHookah Hookah
