Which Shishas Are Washed?

Recommended Posts

Don't feel bad... I can't find a list of washed tobaccos using the search feature, either. You'd think retailers would provide this info... we can't be the only ones who'd like to know. angry.gif Anyways , I thought Laylina was washed as well (people here refer to it as having a "washed buzz") but it's unwashed. The washed tobaccos that I'm certain of are Al Fakir. Al Amir, Havana, and the newer lots of starbuzz. Don't know about Fumari, sorry.

layalina is unwashed, check the box it says .5%, basically if the box sys .5% its unwashed and if it says .05% its washed. Washed brangds that I can think of off the top of my head are al amir, al fahker, fumari, starbuzz (although some older batches my not be), and havana, I'm sure there are more but those are the ones on the top of my head

Nope, check the box, this has been discussed before, it is unwashed, just for some reason doesnt give as much of a buzz s other unwashed brands, but the advertised nicotine content is the same as al waha and nahkla

All starbuzz is supposedely washed.. I e-mailed them and asked.. they said their original printer screwed up and put .5% instead of .05% and now that they are running out of original labels they are printing them with the correction..... *shruggs* who knows..

Haha layalina also sayd it is .5% but I dont think I have ever gotten a buzz from Layalina..

ive gotten a buzz from layalina, but it wasnt of the magnitude of an al-waha buzz.

Here is a newb question-
What dose washed and unwashed shisha mean? Im guessing washed nicotine content is higher? i have no idea, someone fill me in here please! huh.gif

Washed typically means less nicotine (.05%) and unwashed means more nicotine (.5%). To me it reminds me of decaf coffee vs. regular coffee. They wash the nicotine out of the tobacco sort of like they wash the caffiene out of decaf coffee using the swiss water process. That being said i'm not sure how scientifically similar the two processes are but they remind me of each other.

There has been alot of mispackaging going around. Despite what the package says, it may or may not be washed. There is no legal requirement for a manufacturer to post accurate nicotine numbers on the package. Thats convenient, because any company who puts tar-0.0% is lying or incorrect. Glycerine would be considered tar. Here is the list as I have understood:

Washed Unwashed
Layalina (Used to be unwashed) Nahkla
Al Amir Al Waha
Al Fahker Tangiers
Pharoahs (?) (Used to be Unwashed) Romman
Havana Al Majlis
Starbuzz (Used to be unwashed) Bahraini
Fumari
Hookah Hookah
