ive got apple flavour and the quick light coals i would liek to have a really nice smoke today

what could i add? in the base or the bowl etc..

loll i live in the uk so its going to take like 4 days to arrive tongue.gif

Milk and apple juice hmm might try abit of apple squash or juice.. could you squeese abit of apples and put the juice on the top? would that taste nice or would it mess up?

I wouldnt do that..

You would just be adding moister, or water to the tobacco so it wouldnt burn as well..

If you wanted.. squeeze the juice into the water.. and then put the pulp into the tobacco.. but make it as dry as yoiu can

I agree with Erica, if you are going to add anything, add some dried out apple peelings. Smiley does this a lot (with like blueberries in blueberry shisha) and he says it makes a good smoke great. Hope to hear success with your session. When you smoke it, tell us how it turns out... am very interested in hearing how it goes.

most people that have tried that, have reported that you don't get as much heat, and less smoke, if you normally burn the tobacco, then you could try this... some people make the ring with foil, some with the side ring of a tea candle.

i want the most smoke i can get any ideas? i shouldnt fill the bowl to the brim of the bowl should i? just below so it doesnt touch the foil? or so there isnt a mound when i put the foil over it?

Have you ever tried replacing the clay bowl with an apple?

That could be a good and different route for you. Using a good firm apple and a sharp pairing knife, carve out and emulate the conical shape to fit over the top of the stem (we will refer to this as the apple's anus) and then hollow out a bowl on the other end of the apple (grapefruit spoon works good, we will call this the mouth of the apple). Using a skewer, create the holes from the apple bowl to the hollowed out portion thust allowing for the smoke from the mouth to pass through and exit the anus.

Then smoke to your hearts content. I have tried this with a granny Smith or tart green apple and Dbl Apple tobacco.

That and/or the liquid suggestions given above should get you all happy inside. Feel free to drop the physiological descriptions, I have fetish issues, sorry. tongue.gif

Sorry if this is too obvious a suggestion, but... add lots of ice in the base. Always makes my smoke thicker, cooler, smoother, and more flavorful.

In my limited experience, I don't really notice much of a difference when anything flavored is added to the water in the base.

Even better, you could make a funnel bowl out of an apple, it shouldn't be too hard..oh and ice in the base really helps smile.gif

This is something that has been discussed over great lengths... and the final decision was that: It's all personal preference. Experiment on your own and see what your style is... some people do it one way and swear by it, some people do it a different way. All can acheive a great, thick smoke

I may be a bit late to help someone out for today, but in future- with just apple as your flavor a couple slices of a good sweet apple added to the water is fantastic. It isn't an overpowering difference but it brings out the flavor a bit more. Makes for a very enjoyable smke.
