A Little Plea For Help..

Well here's the deal...

I placed an order with Socialsmoke for 5.5kgs of tobacco and they emailed me back telling me it was unadvisable to ship that amount of tobacco in one go as it can get seized from the UK customs. Instead they recommended me to spread out my order into 5-6 of no more than 1000g each. Doing this, however, will cost way too much in shipping.

As pretty much all ma'assel packaging contains something that give away that the product contains tobacco, it would have to be removed. If the containers and boxes were removed and just sent in their sealed bags, they could be labelled as potpourri and it could easily slide past customs while also lowering shipping cost.

I asked Socialsmoke if they could ship it like this for me but they said they couldn't do as their site does not sell potpourri and customs could check up.

So what I am asking for here is someone that is willing to help out me and possibly others in this unfortunate position (Johnny D?) by ordering and shipping out using this method.

Of course, their is a small reward for whoever helps out. I will let them get any 250g tub of tobacco paid for my myself

you can ask em to label it as hookah accesories or a small hookah.. or ask them to just wrap it up in a gift box and put the tobacco in ziploc bbags saying i hhope you like it.. it goes great with fruit cake or something

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and would be willing to help you out. First thing though, I am guessing you are proposing to have SS send someone the shipment then they repackage the goods as something else and then send it to you? I would be able to package it as potpourri, by taking the labels off and applying a plain white label to tins and taking boxed tobacco outside of the box and putting it into a unbranded box saying "Joe's Potpourri x smell". Also are there any consequences for the person shipping it customs would possibly find out it is tobacco (I guess there is someway they could tell by opening the up the box or tin and testing it). Let me know what you think. If you are ordering starbuzz, you would have to have it put inside or another bag or inside the tin because the bag inside the tin that holds the tobacco has branding and I think it says tobacco. Let me know what you think.

I think the best course of action would be to completely take out the tobacco from all the containers, and repackage them in double-triple layer ziplock baggies. This way, you can save money on shipping because ziplock bags full of tobacco takes up less space, and also weighs less than sending a bunch of tins/tubs of tobacco over seas.

So lets say he buys a tub of SS strawberry. Just put a label on the ziplock saying "Strawberry Potpouri", so Zap would still be able to tell which flavor is which, and customs will have no clue.

I also don't think you would get in any trouble Joe. The one who takes a hit is Zap. If they discover the tobacco, they will basically hold the tobacco up at customs, send Zap a letter notifying him of a waiting package, and also let him know how much he owes for taxes. If Zap refuses the package, it gets sent back to you.

Man...I REALLY feel bad for all you smokers across the pond. Why don'tcha just move over here so you can smoke for a lot less

I don't know what Layalina and Starbuzz are packaged like on the inside but i'm assuming they would already be in a well sealed plastic bag? If these entire bags were removed and double baggied in ziplocs, it could be kept nice and clean. The bags would then be labelled like 'SB Cherry' or so and the customs label would say potpourri. They could no way tell it's tobacco due to the strong sweet smells.

All risk here is on my part. If, just IF they did find out it was tobacco, I will get charged by the customs. If I refused it then it would be sent back to the sender with no charge to them.

I wouldn't recommed sending this much sheesha in one go, with packaging or without. Its too much to lose in one go if it does get stopped by customs. I usually find it better to send a maximum of 9 250g tubs in one go, which seems to give me a good overall price per tub.

Lol they go to me they can ship a 500 dollar order in no problems. whats 5.5kg!...

They are shifting too many packages through customs to check up on, seriously, theyv not got the time, unless it says TOBACOO on the package lool, this happened to jonny d, ask him! and it was through SS and they took all the baccy and give him about 20% of his money back.
