cypress
If you live in the Houston Tx area, I would not suggest going to this place. I have been wanting to try this place out for quite some time now and was very disapointed. 1) When you walk in and go up the stairs be sure that you aren't going to be too tipsy coming back down. There wasn't a hand rail on one section of the stairs. 2) If you need to use the restroom please take note who is coming out of which one. There were no signs on the door to indicate which is which or any door knobs on the door. When I did use the RR there was a crack in the floor that you could see downstairs. I hope no one gets carried away and miss the toilet. 3) When I asked what flavors of tabacco they had I was disapointed when he said that they only had 5. I also tried askin him the brand but could not hear very well due to the music. 4) For some odd reason I wanted to try the watermelon flavor that they had. I guess it was because mikem was in search of a good watermelon flavor. I asked the guy what was the most popular flavor and sure enough it had to be watermelon. So the hookah comes out and we get it going. I was very disapointed that it had very little resemblance of watermelon flavor or smell. 5) Nevertheless I tried to finish smoking the hookah. But the DJ that was playing was one of the worst I have ever heard. He had no sense of transition or flow. On one of the songs there was a 5 second gap between one song and the next. On their website it says that they spin trance & progressive house. There again I was disapointed. I am not going to mention what kind of music it was since I am a little bias to that style of music since one of my good friends is a DJ. Overall rating of this place I give it a 2. The only reason it got that high is because we got free cover and the first drink free since we printed out the card from the website. BTW If any one wants some mixed cd's of progresive house and trance, PM me. I can either send them via www.yousendit.com and you can burn the mp3 to disk or I can send some cd's
mikem
I had the same results with my Al Amir watermelon, no resemblance to watermelon in smell or taste. Sounds like that business is looking to fail.
cypress
The sad part is that the clientele looked like they were there for the party scene rather that the appreciation of the hookah. It didn't look like there were any hookah connoisseurs there. Oh well. The night was not a total dissaster. Where I went to eat before going out, the owner is going to hookah me up with another one. He has his shipment in coming from Syria this week and he is going to let me have one at cost. He is bringing in 50 of them. So I can mix and match. My wife wants one of her own too. I also let him look at mine and he says that my 32" is too big. He says that mine has too much draw and it should be a little smoother. So I left mine there till Tuesday. He is going to work some magic to get the draw a little better. He was thinking we might have to swap my base out with a smaller one.

Guest
I will copy this review to the hookah lounge directory
NERV
cover charge? DJ? those are phrases that have no association with a hookah lounge, i would expect notihng more than a club that happens to have hookahs for the sake of being trendy. while i am glad that hookahs are becoming more popular which may intern increse imports and lower prices, anything popular is doomed to have ignorant people exploiting other ignorant people with it, like buying a camera from a street dealer only to find a brick inside the box
To100YearsToL8
All the bars out here have a "minimum" instead of a cover charge. Most of the hookah bar scene are people who are just getting into it, or who are there because its a trend right now. Either way, they have no appreciation for the hookah, its just a cool way to smoke.
