rattler
Only acclimate it in the refrierator if you plan on smoking in your fridge. You want to acclimate it to the conditions you plan on smoking in. If your going to smoke inside your house just let it acclimate to your house. I would never put my shisha in a fridge, since they are desighned to remove humidity I would think you would end up with dried up shisha.
art_official
ya never put your tobacco in the fridge. believe it or not but the air in the fridge is much dryer than anywhere elseyou would completley deplete the amount of time your sheesh would last
Lakemonster
I acclimate mine for as long as it takes to get a bowl packed and a coal lit.
fizzgig
True, not everyone acclimates. And it probably isn't always needed. I, however, live in Pennsylvania. The weather conditions have been rather erratic. Sometimes my furnace is on seemingly constantly, sometimes not at all. Therefore the humidity level in my home is always changing. So I acclimate. Two to three hours is sufficient.

After all the conditions change greatly once you put the coals on it. Scientifically I just don't see what acclimation would accomplish. It almost seems more like a "black cat" kind of thing than a real issue. I'd never hold it against anyone who wanted to acclimate thier tobacco though. I live in ohio and the weather will go from 60 to 30 like it did today. so I guess I might want to acclimate
fizzgig
If you notice that the flavor of your shisha is not consistant each time you smoke even though all of the other variables remain the same then I think acclimation would help. So you're an eastern! Strange weather, eh? Global warming at it's finest?

Sonthert
If you spread the tobacco out, it helps, too. Just imagine the tobacco is a wet towel....if you spread it out, it will acclimate quicker. Yes, thats my line! Don't keep tobacco in the refrigerator unless you plan to smoke it there...it will also speed the drying out of the tobacco (which isn't a good thing). It doesn't make as big a difference when the tobacco has the nicotine removed. Smiley's never has any success with Tangiers, and I think its because they like to refrigerate everything.

LOL Now I know it was you.
