johnchain Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Does anyone know where I can find a multiple hose valve adapter? I have a 3 hose hookah and I would prefer it so that people wouldn't have to cover up the hoses with their thumbs while not in use. After searching around I found hookahs that already have these valves installed in the hookah hoses. Is there a place to buy an adapter like this? Or is it as simple as just placing a ball bearing where the the hose meets the stem for each hose? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If it was designed for valves the hose adapter should unscrew and have 3 holes in it and there should be 1 hole in the hookah inside a concave hole. If thats the case your just missing some ball bearings.I will warn you though, I owned 2 pipes with valves and after smoking an egyptian and Mya Hookahs I ended up drilling out the valves on 1 and the other is now ornamentation for my living room. Valves make smoking very difficult, they get gummed up quick and rust. Oh and if they get wet they can stick and stop working! Valves are over rated unless someone can make one with huge holes and not use a heavy ballbearing since it would increase the difficulty of smoking. Lakemonster Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Unless your hookah has the threaded connections on the heart... its not really a possibility...I did think at one time someone (HookahCompany?) was selling a "auto-seal" connector with a grommet that just mashed into Egyptian hose connections...If you have a purge valve that screws off... you can sometimes just screw on an auto-seal connection to that. just depends on the diameter and TPI. HookahCompany and Hookah-Shisha deal in alot of auto seal stuff... they might be able to hook you up with something if you call them and lay it out for them. ZAP Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 You can get Mya ones which are shown on the Mya website and Genuinehookahs also stocks I believe or you can get the ones from Hookahwholesale which are crap and restrict airflow a little too much.Alternatively, you can get a ball bearing which is just large enough to not fall all the way through the house outlet and just plop them in.
