I actually voted for Meddle.

Waters wasnt on Relics and Obscured by Clouds?

Personally I lean towards the David Gilmour influence of PF. I really liked when both Waters and Gilmour influences were pretty much even in a given song.... not to "frantic" and not too mellow either.

Also, Obscured by Clouds, "More" and Relics were albums that were not included on the survey.

Wish You Were Here is my choice. Animals Next, then Obscured by Clouds
, Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Relics, Ummagumma, Saucerful of Secrets.

Notice nobody has voted for the Final Cut yet?

I applaud your omission of the post Roger Waters-era albums.

I'm all about The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
Die hard Floydian with the rest of my family as a whole. But my choice for this album is due to Syd Barrett. Without him, Floyd would have never been, fact. He kicked it off with Waters, he is the reason for David Gilmour(for those of you who don't know, he went off the band wagon with his drug use, tripping and screwin up bad on stage, so they took on Gilmour to cover over him and make up). He was in it for one of the Dark Side of the Moon songs when they decided to one day not pick him up, doing gigs. He had a short solo career and then ended up spending all but two years of the rest of his life in a mental hospital. Even after he left the band, he still influenced the band. Waters had an obsession with him, hence a lot of the works i.e. Shine on You Crazy Diamond. I have done my major school papers in the past on them and will be continuing this semester. My synthesis paper for research writing will be on Roger Waters' obsession with Syd Barrett and how the band would have turned out without him.
As for the rest, I am a huge fan still, love The Wall and DSM as quick fyi. But seeing Roger Waters live a year ago changed my life and made it complete...when they released the gigantic inflated pig, well, breathless. Edited by r1v3th3ad

Animals! without a doubt the band is at the peak, the whole album is one peice effortlessly flowing not from track to track but idea to idea. Every moment is an auditory orgasm. It does not contain a single radio friendly song or hook and yet the peice is suprisingly listenable. It makes both a politcal and personal statement and does so in its own eerie classic pink floyd way. Btw Wish You Were Hear is a close second....WELCOME... TO THE MACHINE!
