Luke69
I just bought some shisha off of a friend and all of them smell almost exactly the same. The flavours areTangiers: Kashmir Peach, Guava, and Melon Blendand Al amir blackberyy and Al fakher golden eskandarani. They are all in ziplock pags and packed very closely together. I smoked two last night, the blackberry and the eskandarani, and they tasted almost the exact same. They all smile kind of liked spiced peach. So i was wondering the if the kashmir could have possibly contaminated the others? I am relatively new to hookah and do all the flavours smell and taste very similiar with just a hint of the intended flavour, or are they all really unique? Oh and could it be my hookah that has a lingering taste? I wash it a lot.Any suggestions would help.Thnx
DyinTuLive
I Notice that to get the true taste out of your tobacco that you should wash out the whole hookah once you change flavors. I usually do not change flavors once i start one, I choose to light up two hookahs and let people take their choice at which flavor they want. If you didn't try it last night maybe you should try one flavor but clean out your hookah before you go for flavor 2, you might notice the diff. cymptom
Do they all taste like spiced peach too? Maybe it was the way they were stored? I had a bunch of 50g sample packs that I stored all together in a big tupperware container, and eventually they all started to taste the same... ShishaFred
Before I acclimated my Tangiers , they all had a similar pungent smell with just a hint of the intented smell in some flavours. After about 4 hours i stored them in ziploc bags. I smoked the Apple , and at the start it tasted like what it used to smell like , but after 2 minutes Apple came out , and it was delicious. Glottis
It wouldn't surprise me if they got mixed somehow, but as was said earlier, it won't hurt to leave them to air out a bit. I would think at the very least that the AA blackberry and the AF esk apple would be totally different, so there is definitely something wrong. It could be something with your hookah, too. SanguineSolitude
tangiers flavors generally smell fairly similar, since the black molasses has a very distinctive smell. but the al amir and AF shouldnt. i suggest you put them all in separate tupperware containers (which you should be doing anyways) and then let them acclimate on their own. if you stored them in close proximity it is certainly possible that they picked up the taste of the others to some extent. and kashmir is a very pungent flavor so it would tend to blend easily i think.lesson learned i think. tupperware is always the way to go. (gladware, or the supermarket brand containers are the cheapest and work great)
Sonthert
I think most brands have a similarity in smell in their flavors. I think the Tangiers has distinctive smells.
