fewwdragon
Another way is to make it a private establishment. Like a private club where everyone has to buy a membership.

Guest LondonShisha
Does that link work for anyone? Just goes into a search page for me.At the moment there doesnt seem to be any way around the smoking ban. The private club idea has been thrown out, and even herbal shisha wont be allowed - the actualy text refers to 'smoking in a public place' whether it be tobacco based or not.kinda sucks. Lets wait and see what the big boys in Edgware Road do.
jeffg1
In Quebec, A smoking ban was recently passed. WIth the exception of a hookah bar/cafe. The reason why in quebec, is a threat to the arab culture. You may want to check with the governing body that is passing the ban and see if you can have an exception based on that rule...but note you may have to stop allowing cigarette smoke in your place. That how it is in here . Hope it helps.
Sonthert
In California, smoking in tobacco establishments is legal. I think its only 50% of your sales. It is illegal to allow alcohol sales or food sales in smoking establishments, on the other hand.

Fumare
Here in IL. The smoking ban took affect Jan. 2 07. They excluded hookah lounges. The sales have to be 80% or more, but we also fought for food. We are allowed to serve food, but very limited as to what we can serve. No, alcohol but other beverages are ok. Hexagon
Now (since 1st of January) we have a smoking ban in our country too. I have heard what now it's legal to smoke in specialised pipe bars only and those bars can't serve any food
