Yeah, foil is better than screens. Foil wraps around the bowl and keeps air from entering from the side, unlike screens. also some screens have way too many holes in them. Foil you can decide how many holes to punch

What about something like this.....?

http://i18.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/7c/96/6962_1.JPG

The screen becomes air tight, and all the rushing air centers from the whole in the top. Also good heat management cus of the lid (makes a great wind cover as well since it is latched to the bowl)

So i'd agree that foil is better, but I personally like this combo bowl better since it erases the inconvenience of foil (punchin holes and covering.

Is putting foil on a bowl and punching holes really all that inconvenient? Haha, I mean, seriously.

(This is said purely in jest, mind you)

I also think foil > screen. At least the normal free screens you usually get with a hookah purchase; they seem to drop down to much and don't leave the room that foil does. From sides it seems to \_____/, if you get my drift.
That bowl, screen and cover thing may be nice to try out, but not for $15 or whatever they go for.
Also, I like the hole control, sounds weird, you have with foil. Plus you can just dump the burned shisha into the foil, wrap it up and voila... Edited by Jeff_T

Ive yet to try that combo bowl, it looks cool. the scrren does look like it sits on the bowl beeter than most screens Ive used before.

The only reason I grew a distaste for foil was because I never discovered pre-cut hookah foils. I just have a natural unluckyness when cutting kitchen foils out of those roles. I don't know why, but i am cursed. I have to get my girlfriend to cut them. I AM CURSED I TELL YOU. Even with scissors. Everything just rips and tears.

I was very pleased with the idea of screens, but the little tab fold over things just didn't cut it in terms of coverage. So i checked out the hookah combo bowl.

However, when I discovered the pre cut foils afterwards, and my taste for foil came back. Yet at the same time i grew to liking the combo bowls. They're cool for ash disposale too, you can just pick up, flip over the bowl, and shake onto the ash tray. Works like a charm.

I don't know, whatever works, depends on the person.

i vastly prefer foil...i think more shisha can get packed, and i usually burn the hell of my shisha with screens. that being said, I carry a few screens for special circumstances.

i have 3 ultimate bowls they do create an air tight seal, but the my only dislike is that when you decide to take large iron lung inhales you suck ash right through the hole and pretty much give your shisha a layer of ash

Yeah, that happens to me too. I find myself having to clear ash out a bit more.

Such as when you run out of tin foil?

actually, its aluminum foil and has been for quite some time. but thats ok, its a common misconception to call it tin foil, as many people still havent adapted to what it is now made of.

im just playing. i just got home from work and felt the need to give someone a hard time.

It did used to be made of tin, when tin was cheaper than aluminum.

If you have the problem of the foil tearing, double it up by folding. Thin foil/thick foil doesn't matter...just whether you can punch holes or not. Also, do not cut with scissors, it makes the foil bind and stick to gether. If you tear it, it makes it much easiers to stack and manage!

FOIL ALL THE WAY

Unless im using another, well um, another smoking product in the bowl instead of shisha...then i use the screen.

I hope someone actually understands what im talking about cause there is a difference.
