I Hate Canadian Customs

Recommended Posts

so i ordered a mya acrylic, a small phunnel, some easy light japanese coals, and some tanigers tabacoo from mnhookahs.com, and due to the fact that i live in canada i am yet to recieve my package due to stupid canadian customs holding my package, they have had it since december 31st and i dont know what they plan on doing with it

by the way it is in no way mnhookahs fault, they have been so helpful in ordering, my anger is completely directed to stupid customs...i want my hookah so badly i am yet to try tanigers or the phunnel bowl, or even a decent hookah for that matter so imagine my surprise that i have not gotten it yet

I had customs open a package I had with a Mya acrylic in it and charcoal because the seller threw in free tobacco. They where nice eneugh to remove the tobacco and turn the charcoal into packing material covering my entire hookah. Nice assholes at customs.

I have a buddy who lives somewhere in ontario canada, he said he used to pay outrageous custom charges. he found one store (im not naming names because I dont want them to get in trouble or anything) but they ship him his tobacco and supplies as a gift so he wont have to poay any fees

the best thing about canada is the health care but other than that I dont imagine I would move there

i'd only move there if the USA goes into war and every 18y/o and over are drafted, but other than that i'd stay right here in california AAAYYYEEE.

really? how much did you order without getting caught...im gonna keep this in mind!

I usually order no more then 250grams per shipment. Since I'm kinda new to smoking I buy the charcoal & shisha value packs. In my last order instead of getting a half box (50 pieces) of Three kings Charcoal I got a full box. I think it was a mistake but I aint complaining!

I used to get Havana for cheap from elitehookah but there gone now. I got sources close by here in montreal too but all the local arab community imports is Nahkla. I can get 250grams for 15 dollars at these stores. Problem is you never get the flavors you want.

I've gone one for two with hookah-shisha.com. A couple months ago, I had to pay about sixteen bucks on 100g. On the next order, I kind of lost my mind and went an even kg. It took three agonizing weeks to arrive, but no customs charges. (A very nice moment of realization as the Canada Post dude walked away.) Hookah-shisha sent as a gift, making vague reference to hookah equipment but not tobacco. Which may or may not have helped. My thinking was that the package would have a better chance of getting through unchecked in the Christmas rush. Maybe that's just wishful thinking. H-S's shipping was reasonable -- better than socialsmoke, who I tried a mock order with. Mnhookah seems to have the cheapest rates to Canada, and I really like the idea of their variety packs. At this point, I still want to taste as many flavours and brands as possible.

When all's said and done, though, I guess I'll happily pay the outrageous customs bills on tobacco I don't *really* need, if it means living in a place with some semblance of sane media and government.
