mcknight
I was told in the store that I bought it from (guess hookah in chicago, awsome place) that it is washable. I accidentally left my hookah outside after smoking (I passed out) for the night and the next morning the thing fuckin wreaked. So i've been washing it tonight and I am soaking the inside of my stem with lemon juice and I just got done cleaning the inside of the cobra head with lemon juice. The hose has a weird taste to it though and i'm not sure if it rusted or something. How do I tell? I just called the place and asked them a 2nd time if it is washable and the guy said that the place he orders them from said they were. I love this hose and I really hope I don't have to throw it away.
unleashtheclown
Most cobra hoses are NOT washable, but If you post a pic of it someone might be able to tell you otherwise. I wouldnt think leaving your hose on overnight even if it was outside would do anything to your hose

I've never cleaned a hose though so maybe it's just the smell of wet metal? lol I have no idea I just really like my cobra Hopefully I can take this back if I find out it is rusted. yashman19
After you rinse it out with a water/lemon juice mixture, swish it around real well and completely rinse it out, then let it hang dry for ATLEAST 1-2 days. I'd say hang it even longer to be sure. Let the thing FULLY dry out inside. If at this point it still tastes/smells funny, then it's not a washable hose. But I say let it fully dry out becaues even with washable hoses, you can rinse them out iwth water/lemon and if you don't let it dry out, they can still potentially rot inside. So don't keep smoking with it. Wash it, let it dry out.The hang drying might be annoying, so in the future, buy a couple more hoses just for this purpose. With my washable hoses, I rotate them. I will use one-two/week, then wash them out, and let them hang dry for a week. While they're drying, I have 2 more hoses I use in my rotation. I have over 15+ hoses, so I always have fresh, clean ones ready to go.
