rattler
Does anyone know where you can buy beedis online? I smoked them 14 years ago and would like some and can't seem to find any in the local tobacco shops. I did a google search and all I can find is anti-smoking info about how harmful they are. Surely there must be places selling them online?

Thanks for the suggestion.I was looking a while ago and found after much effort a bidi maker in India who will send them to the US. They accept paypal. They are cheap! Six bucks a carton (200) but the shipping was high. However, if you want to go in on an order, the shipping would not be so bad. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get some current details to ya.

Thanks for the suggestion.I don't know about ordering them in by the cartons...I don't think I could smoke that many of them and the tobacco beetles would show up. I did find a place selling them locally here in Phoenix. $1.85 for a pack they even have rolled up a little tiny piece of cotton in them for a filter. I have to say that they are not nearly as good as I remember. Now the flavor of the wrapper is somewhat unpleasent to my taste. Shame to because I really did enjoy them 14 years ago. chinamon
oh wow....Beedies, though smaller than regular cigarettes produce three times more carbon monoxide and nicotine, and five times more tar than a regular cigarette.source

erufiku
We don't get these in Canada... But I had an Indonesian friend who brought some delicious Indonesian smokes. The smoke tasted like spices and they occasionally made a cackling sound when burning. Also, the filter was coated with some sweet flavouring. I wonder if that's similar to the beedis? Also, I remember smoking some Chinese Orange-Flavoured Menthol cigs. These were amazing as well... Although I hate menthol No luck finding any of them so far though :/

You can probably find some Djarums in any tobacco shop, they seem to be the most common brand around here. I usually get the Djarum Lights because they look like regular cigarettes and I don't like the extra attention I get from teenagers when I smoke the Blacks outside of work. The Blacks have a stronger flavor, though.

I was doing a little research (<3 google), and alot of people said they help ease some pain in the body, and give a little euphoric feeling all over and not a light-headed buzz like a regular cigerette. I hurt my elbow at work, and it hurts like hell. I wonder... I can only hope.
chinamon
In Canada, Djarum Black cigarettes are listed as containing 42.2–76mg of tar and 1.88–3.39mg of nicotine, a significant amount more than most other cigarettes.HOLY CRAP! i gotta try these!!source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kretek
