I am not liking the myas, I have a QT and absolutely HATE the stem, with a passion! I am very close to being in the market for a new hookah, and my experience with the QT has ruined my opinion of myas.

Haha what do you think is wrong with the QT stem...
And also, it's line of a company that has rave reviews on all of their pipes... not to mention you bought the cheapest one they make??? I really wouldn’t let one product detour you from buying another Mya pipe... rolleyes.gif

That's what tends to happen with most glass I've come across. Pyrex has the ability to withstand that. Did it happen right when you used really hot water? Or did you quench it with lukewarm/cold water right afterwards? That would be recipe for breaking glass

OMG how can you say you hate MYA's! I've had my QT for about 6 months and it is the best hookah i have ever owned. But i guess everyone entitled to their opinion. biggrin.gif

Thats awesome they'll replace it, as they should, but its definitely strange. The only reasoning I could see behind that happening would be rinsing/soaking it in cold water, then rinsing immediately after in hot water. Good luck with the new base.

I did something similar to a baking pan once -- took the pan out of the oven, took out the bread, put the pan into some cool water in the sink, heard an interesting noise, then - oh look, the pan's broken clear in half.

Glad to hear they're replacing the base. Buying another one and then getting it shipped to Singapore would have cost you a pretty penny. Edited by looloopoopie

It is just my opinion...
The QT stem is VERY porous, and like a cave inside, making cleaning hard to acheive. If the other MYAs are like that, I have no interest in them...I want my next hookah to have a stainless steel tube, that I can clean with a gun cleaning kit or something!? (I believe you use a tubba cleaning kit?)
