Freshness

Recommended Posts

I have some of the Al Waha from Steve and it is 2 years old and smokes great (though it is sealed until I open it.) I generally will use a tobacco I have until I think that the whole tub is a dud (which hasn't happened yet) or till the tub is empty. I think that tobacco manufactures put an expiration date of 1 year (printed on the box/tub/tin) though, with the results I have got from the case I ordered from Steve, I don't really pay attention to this.

i bought some 500 gram airtight containers at target when i had shisha in 250g boxes so it would last. like 2 bucks a pop and they stack nicely. the stuff has been in there almost a year now, and smokes better than it did when it was really fresh. killer buzz for the first 15 hits or so and thick thick smoke. now i just wish i could remember what brand it was.. dry.gif

Most tobaccos will last 6 months after opening.

Indefinitely (~3 years?) if unopened and the packaging is uncompromised.

Tangiers Citrus flavors 6 months after opening, pineapple a year, blackthorn a year, everything else indefinitely. (Cooling...18 months?)

I made some tobacco to take to Arizona several months ago and it is smoking like it was made yesterday.
