New Sheesh Company

Recommended Posts

Second point, as I understand the Hookah Company thing and Starbuzz, Social Smoke has an internet exclusive on Starbuzz, at least as far as "official retailers". HookahCompany wanted to sell it, so they bought it from a wholesaler in LA cheaper than what Social Smoke was selling it for, so now everybody's upset at everybody else and people are getting all angry...well, actually, George isn't mad at anybody. If you knew George, you'd know he doesn't get mad at anybody.

Can't we all just get along?

Edit: Social Smoke and Starbuzz aren't angry either...just an honest disagreement. There are more scenery details that aren't included in this blurb, suffice it to say, don't think one party is more responsible for the goings on than any other party in this little brushfire. My insight is free, but meant to be kept without any intent of presumption!

Funny you guys are pointing out how one company is a close rip-off of your packaging/marketing...Starbucks....I mean Starbuzz!
LOL

Starbuzz is not based on starbucks it derived from resources I don't know if I'm allowed to reveal but aside from that-Starbucks is the one getting calls from customers looking for Starbuzz believe it or not...they even offered SB $ to change the name besides SB colors are completely different, other than the name, they obviously have nothing else in common. However, back to the Fusion topic, they full on swooped the identical name and advertising ploy as well as the packaging, all accept for the tin cans.

I never said it was. On the other hand, if I named my company "Marlburro" people would go "Rip-off"! Starbuzz is so close to Starbucks, what can you expect? Whether that was anybody's intention. Some real nice guys wanted to package Tangiers in little cans and call it "Taso" or something remarkably close to "Tazo" , Starbuck's brand of tea. It would have been an indirect rip-off of Starbuzz, so I wasn't thrilled about the idea (although their designs were fabulous).

And no, I don't believe, frankly, that Starbuck's gets calls asking for Starbuzz. That would imply people who want to smoke your brand are stupid. laugh.gif
It sounds like shameless self-promotion" at any rate! biggrin.gif

You know what- that of course does not imply such a thing and it is in fact true. Anyone can call up 411 ask for Starbuzz and the operator connects them to Starbucks. It doesn't mean the customers are stupid. Just because you are in competition with Starbuzz does not mean you have to knock it... THAT is indeed a "shameless self-promotion"- infact..SHAMEFUL I am not SB and do not necessarily represent SB, I just speak the truth and seeing as how you target my comments with hostility in every blog it seems as though you harbor some toward SB. SB does not badmouth other brands they do their own thing, put out their product and let the customers decide and the only things I said were to set the record straight Edited by ThE_tObAcCo_QuEeN

Wow this has become a regular Starbuzz thread! Not that I have anything against Starbuzz other than it's a washed tobacco...If I'm going to inhale cancer causing stuff I might as well get the enjoyment of the nicotine.

I'm going to have to try a couple of these Fusion Flavors since it's unwashed. Cactus pear sounds like a intresting flavor. Still 16 bucks is pushing it a little bit considering Tangiers can be had for less than $10.00 per 250 grams. But I'm certainly going to try fusion...Any other flavors anyone has to recommend besides Cactus pear?

I know- I have no idea how this got so out of hand. This blew way out of proportion.

You lost it when I ribbed you a bit. You can question my motives all you want, but I harbor no ill will towards your company...you keep talking like Starbuzz is the greatest thing there is, but its just your opinion. I feel the same way about Tangiers, but you don't see me pumping people about how great it is. Lots of people on this website like Al Amir, Fumari, Al Fahker, Nahkla, Al Waha, Fusion, and even Tangiers best of all. To name a few. This isn't a popularity contest. I am very honest and people know when I give my opinion, its not based on company loyalties. I say nice things about all sorts of companies that make great products, whether I like the company or not, including tobaccos which are in the same market as Tangiers. Its funny, I say nice things about Fumari, or Nahkla, people don't accuse me of bias. I say something thats misunderstood about Starbuzz and you say "he's biased." So trust me when I say to you, if I were ever to say anything bad about Starbuzz, you would know the comments were meant to be critical and any jokes I might make are meant in the least serious sense, possible.

Chill out.

I have never visited your blog nor posted negative comments on said blog. I wouldn't know where your blog is. Your statement regarding my badmouthing you on your blog is false. So if you want to set the record straight, clear that up right now.

What you call the truth are your opinions, people on the Forum, here are able to form their own opinions, too.

Edit 2: I don't badmouth other brands. I do offer honest opinions that are sometimes critical, but I can't think of a perfect brand that has absolutely no drawbacks. There is no one brand that is all things for all people. You are different than Starbuzz, right? I was just joking with you specifically a little, hence the smiley LOL. I make fun of lots of different people and brands, including my own, a little joking and you fly apart. Don't take the shit too seriously.

Edit 3: When people who admit having a relationship to a company come on and spend alot of their time talking about the brand of tobacco they are associated with, don't you think it might draw some attention? If you had a non-partisan forum that dealt with all brands and companies, how would you view your comments? How do you think other people view your comments?

Edit 4: At the time I counted, you have 20 posts. Your posts consist of:

1 about the relationship between Starbuzz and other companies
1 patting Social Smoke on the back (and Starbuzz and Social Smoke have a very close business relationship)
2 talking about how great Starbuzz flavors are
6 talking about how you are the model for the company and about Starbuzz's advertising campaign
1 questioning Smiley about whether he edited his post or not
6 joking around about Taqseem's ads (some people might call that badmouthing a competitor, but you claim not to do that, so I guess it isn't)
2 berating me for joking around in the same manner you were joking around about Taqseem's advertising
1 going "How did this get so out of hand?"

Most of your posts are talking about Starbuzz in one capacity or another. Try taking off the Starbuzz hat and being a real person, with the rest of us.

You should consider changing jobs. Taqseem's posters haven't gotten this much press on the forum in months. You're the best thing that's happened to him. I think, by and large, we consider those posters just funny, not scintilating or attractive. Somebody has one of those posters of you hung up in their office with a villianous Sharpie moustache drawn on you...its a riot moreso now, typing messages to you. Imagining your poster with the moustache on. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

You are obviously new to the forum. And welcome BTW. But let me set you straight. I feel that I can do this because I am totally unbiased here. (neither a fan of Starbuzz or Tangiers) Sonthert does NOT and NEVER has knocked any brand of tobacco. Nor does he promote his own line on this forum. He is probably one of the biggest contributors of practical information on this forum. Why don't you look at his profile and check this out for yourself. Please don't be offended when people are skeptical of you. It's just that ALL of your posts HAVE been about Starbuzz. You claim to not be Starbuzz but introduce yourself as a Starbuzz model. Please just talk about something else. I think that perhaps then we could see you as something other than Starbuzz.

Ok I'm going to pipe in on this starbuzz debate.(even though I realize a vacation is a possability rolleyes.gif ) I have smoked most brands of tobacco that can be had here in the US. Al Waha, AF, Tangiers, Nakhla, Layalina,Havana, Fumari and yes even Starbuzz. I just don't personally get Starbuzz. It ain't my deal for the most part. I just don't see that there is any real difference in it except in a few flavors.

ThE_tObAcCo_QuEeN does Starbuzz know you are on the forums speaking for them?

  • 3 months later...
Starbuzz and Fusion are the same leaf and i think there was drama because Fusion got the same product form where starbuzz did. If you like chmically tasting tobacco then go for it. Id rather go with that american company Fantasia. THere flavors are sweet consistent and the smoke session is great.
