Water In My Hose, What Should I Do?

I was smoking a hookah and I got some water in my hose. Do I need to let it dry for a while? It should be washable, but will it rust all? Did I fill it up too much? Does this happen to anyone else?

Go outside and swing that hose around in a circle for a minute. If its a washable hose it will not rust. Yes you most likely put too much water in the base. If you add anything other then water be careful because alot of stuff makes bubbles (milk and some juices)

I wouldn't let it dry like that to be honest.

I do exactly the above - but then Use a hairdryer on medium heat. Sit one end of the hose
in front on the Hairdryer Grill. You will feel damp air coming out the other end...

This process take around 30mins to fully dry the hose. I use my glasses to check when the air is coming out without moisture!!!!

Maybe microwave it, maybe put it in a clothes dryer for a couple of minutes (I used to dry tobacco tubs in the clothes dryer). In the future, a good test is to suck through the hose port before attaching the hose, with your mouth. If you get water in your mouth, you have too much water.

Well when I was using it last night I blew the water out when I knew there was some inside. Then I just let it dry hanging upside down over night. It has a little bit of a bad taste to it but not to bad. Should I wash it out? I don't wanna make the problem worse. How do I know if the hose has gone bad? I jsut bought this hose last night and was told it is washable. I am having so many problems with hoses, arg. I just don't wanna be inhaling anything that could damage my lungs (beside the smoke).

Do u guys get a metallic taste after you rinse out a hose? I just washed the one that got a little water in it and used lemon juice and now when I inhale a little bit through it (haven't used it for smoking since washing) it just tastes a tiny bit metallicy. Is this normal? How do I Know if i'm inhaling something that is potentially dangerous, like rust? When I rinsed it out tons of nasty stuff came out of it.

one way i knew mine rusted weas little specs started comin out when i would blow through it or wash it which were orange color. and i only washed it about 2-3 times too.

Well I definetely saw orange specs come out of the hose when I washed it today. Is it possible it's something else and not rust? I just bought the thing last night. Dammit this sucks I bought two hoses from this guy and water got into both of them so I washed them and I saw orange crap come out of both of them.

If you're interested in replacing it the standard consensus around here is that MYA hoses are the cream of the crop when it comes to washables. They're of good quality and come at a great price considering how reliable they are.

well, some people like my buddy pull so hard that water comes into the hose even when its 1 inch above the stem. So it may not be the water level could just be how hard you are pulling.

If you can see metal coils then your shit outta luck im afraid, and if your hose just keeps coming up with shit no matter how many times you wash it its defenintly not washable. go to myasaray.com and get yourself a washable one, theyre like 6 bucks, totally worth it.

Can we define washable? The guy at the hookah store said that washable means it's stainless steal running all the way through the hose. The non washable ones will fall apart if they get wet. Is that true? Will washable ones not rust at all? Can I get water in them and not clean them until the next day and it will be fine? I've bought two supposedly washable hoses from this place and washed them both and they both have a rusty taste to them and had lots of nasty stuff come out when they had water running through them. I am just so frustrated with this place, I don't want to use these hoses if there is a possibility of them having rust inside. That's like 24 dollars worth of hoses down the drain :'(
