Okay, who knows what the deal is with the syrian hookahs? I'v always used Egyptians and I just picked up a Syrian job and am gobsmacked. Real pretty machine. However, it seems everything about it is minature compared to my Egyptian machines. The real puzzling part is the bowl. What do you smoke in it? Hash? C'mon, I didn't think Syria was populated by the Lilliputians. Can you get bigger Syrian bowls? To give you an idea, here are the measurements:
I.D of upper part of bowl: 1.5 inches (3.7cm)
O.D of upper part of bowl: 2.1 inches (5.4cm)
Inner bowl depth: 1/2 inch (1.4cm)
I.D of socket where bowl plugs into the pipe (Sysrian bowl is the male while the pipe shaft is the female): 1-1/16 inch (2.7 cm)
Anyone with a Syrian machine have different sizes? Can I get a bigger bowl out there that will still fit the pipe shaft?

Yeah, I saw it. Almost made me gag thinking about it.
Oh, I am going to do the the pineapple and Margarita when I'm done playing with my new machine. This thing has about eleventy-leven air leaks in it right now.

that adaptor thing seems ok too mr b i have allways had problem with these syrian bowls  or as the guy who sold me once said -use wet toiletpaper or a wet cloth but i never got it working good
