Getting Hookah Would Like Some Advice.

Hey ther im called adam liive in a tiny town and recently discovered what a hookah is at a party and i have to have one. I'm wanting to get a small sized Hookah, will this be easy to take to parties and sit down and puff away and what do different sizes offer? How much Shisha goes into an hour session? What are the effects of shisha, i understand the harmful side i want to know if it make you high or relaxed. I had it once before as ive already said and i felt high but maybe it was because it was my first time. Whats a good website for getting high quality hookahs n shisha in the UK? Whats the best shisha for buzz and quality of smoke and how long will 200g last me if i smoke it once a week?

Personally I'd recommend the Mya QT for your first hookah. Shisha gets you buzzed and is very relaxing.

hey there and welcome! I own two different types of acrylics, a qt, and a hookah know as the stratus. By far i thinkg mya's are the best hookah's all around. I love my acrylics more then anything, the acrylic base makes it shatter resistent and very durable( A.K.A. good for your party's) mya Qt is very convienent due to it's compact size tho...either way they are both great hookahs! and 250g should last you a while, i knw a 50g will last you through two or three bowls and depending on your set-up they tend to last on average about 1 hour. right im form the uk too so i know how hard it is to get good flavours over here, but give www.hookahshop.co.uk a try.
the service is excellent, and tell them yusuf from batley recommended you, and u will probably get a free gift too..

for buying a hookah try www.shisha-world.com its a german website, click on the english tag in teh top right corner... prices for mya hookahs are pretty cheap, and i got mine delivered within a week. they also carry flavours, but german law states that hookah tobacco can only have a maximum of 5% glycerine, and i think approx 15-20% is normal..
so try and avoid buying flavours from germany.

I have one coming in the mail that is being shipped from israel to me, but I also got one this week, ergo the problem, 2 hookahs, if you would like I would love to sell you either one for a cheap price. I smoked out of the other one today, smokes pretty well, we had some shitty shisha though.

Sorry i would but i wana a new one just to be sure, i dont think ur gna rip me off or anything. Which site out of www.hookahshop.co.uk and www.shisha-world.com sell the better quality hookahs and how come shisha world sell them so much cheaper? iv narrowed down to King Hookah and Hubbly Bubbly are these good makes. Im wanting to get a different hookah base with whichever hookah i choose will it fit if the base is a large one and the hokah small/medium?

Also is it easy to just buy the components seperatly tht you want and build the hookah youself?

As far as sizes, they range. As small as 8" to as large as 60".
Not too sure if people know this, but the longer the shaft, the better the Hit. When I say hit, I mean the better the Hookah will smoke.

Also, when looking into Hookahs, the better smoking ones will have bigger holes at the bottom of the shaft. Most Hookahs only have 1 hole for intake and 1 hole for outtake. The bigger they are the better. Usually your acrylic hookahs will have much smaller holes than your Hand made egyptians, etc. If you're lucky, you can find an egyptian Hookah with 4 holes, 2-3 for intake, and 1-2 for outtake. These will "hit" the best.

As far as how much Shisha goes into an hour session, usually a bowl will do it. For me, and when I smoke by myself or with my cousins, A bowl can go for up to 2 hours. It really all depends on your Shisha, your Coal, and your Hookah...as well as the temperatur of the room, etc. But a bowl should go for an hour, just set it up right!

Shisha really doesn't have that much effect to the experienced smoker. If you are smoking it for the first few times, you will probbaly get light headed. Smoking a hookah SHOULD be relaxing...thats the whole point, to kick back and relax, I've never been "high" when I smoked, no one should ever get high, unless they put the sticky icky in there with the shisha haha

There are alot of good websites that will send to the UK. However, try to look for some that are actually based in the UK. Save on shipping!

Hands down, the best shisha out there is Al Amir. It is pure heaven when smokiing any flavor of Al Amir. It stays so fresh for so long. It's not too moist...and not dry either. Very easy to handle. All the great flavors. Very thick smoke, and just hands down the best. Your average website will sell the 250g size for like $10.00 USD plus shipping....like another $5.00. Don't bother with starbuzz or Roman or Nakhla, just go for the best. The only downfall to Al Amir is they don't have the "exotic" Flavors liek starbuzz has.

A 250g tub of Al Amir should last you about 2-3 months if you're smoking it once a week. Of couse this depends on the size of the bowl you smoke and whether or not you fill it up. You should actually probbaly get more than 2-3 months out of a 250g tub, just as long as you stick with once a week.

I'll be buying from Shisha World, and I'll probably get one of the Mya Hookahs. I picked up a Blue Isis rotating hookah from Hookah Shop, but I'm not sure that it's quite as good as the Mya ones! I'm gonna go for a Mya QT just because of the quality of them and the number of positive reviews on here.
