SpaceOddity
Well i got a mya hookah from southsmoke a little bit ago. The Frost hookah. It didnt come with the base grommet so it took a week and half for that to finally come in. And I just noticed a problem with the threading on one of the parts. I havnt smoked it yet but Im considering calling them again and trying to get a new part, becasue i want to the hookah to be perfect. Here is the hookahHere is the part with the messed up threading, dont know if you can tell from this shot. Its all jagged at the end though. Here is the result of that messed up part, a gap between the two pieces. Finally here is the phunnel bowl I got from MNhookas, it didnt come with a grommet, is that normal? What do you guys think, Im excited about finally getting this hookah but that little gap is bugging me. Think southsmoke should send me another piece?

camelflage
looks like just a piece of flashing on the edge there, you could probably take a small half-round file and smooth that down. it is a fine looking hookah.

Lakemonster
hard for me to tell as well as I'd like to with that pic... It looks like that jagged spot is a "sprueish" like area there on the inside of the casting that has is threaded up as well. The thing is... Iunless that aread has curved in or bent in..... I dont see whay you are still bottoming out early and its not seating. Is there any apparent damage or anything strange with the male end of that connection? does the threading stop early? ghostofdavid
E-mail Southsmoke and see if they will ship you a replacement. Don't expect much, though, because they have horrible customer service. If they don't do anything, don't flip. Call Mya and let them know that you tried to take it up with them and see if Mya can help you. They seem to stand behind their product no matter who sells it. HookahETC
If you're going to file something...possibly try to use a dremmel...but very carefully. That way there is a little control over whats filed/not filed.Im sure whereever you bought it from will accept a return. Just let them know. it really wouldnt be a big deal to them. AinSophAur
DO NOT FILE OR DO ANYTHING TO IT! It will void any warranty on the item.
cymptom
I have a Mya Bohemian stem with some sloppy threading near the top, causing the tray and bowl to sit on a rather noticible angle. I haven't tried taking it up with Mya yet, though... truth is I don't like the stem all that much anyway because it's so narrow, as are a lot of Mya stems from my experience (except the QT.) ghostofdavid
Oh, and Tangiers bowl are not supposed to come with grommets, if that is what was asked at the tail end of your post.
