He was warned to keep thoose announcements in his own personal thread and continues to post advertisements in threads where people are merely asking for information. The example of this in "first Hookah" has been removed and he has been suspended for a minimum of 7 days. The mods are discussing makeing it perminant.The rules are clear and we've communicated directly abut the issue, and he continues to post this way. Moderation TeamFor those of you who have had good experiences with ordering from him. Feel free to continue to post positive things bout him. He's just not permitted on at this point. All in a thread just asking for general info. Since he has already posted this information, these pictures, etc are posted in his thread and he was warned NOT to continue posting them every time someone asked about a hookah. This rule was obviously too difficult for him to follow, or he thought he could ignore us...either way...his first warning came when he logged in and spammed our trade section with 3 nearly identical posts advertising. But I don't disagree with you guys either..he should definately be suspended.. and perhaps block any link with his site URL blocked to prevent further problems? I mean, Is telling him over and over not to post in other threads the same straight up advertisement for his stuff that complex an idea or confusing an instruction? The first time was a mistake. If he already had a suspension where things were explained, then I don't see any particular reason why he shouldn't be banned. I guess the best thing at this point would be the three strikes rule? He's already had two by the sounds of it. If he found that too hard then he can't play here.And it was explained to him in great detail after the first time. This second time was a deliberate attempt to ignore the rules. Period. Like I said, he's not dumb, I refuse to believe he didn't understand what he did wrong. Especially after appologising for doing it in his personal thread saying he didnt know any better back then but now understands and we wont have to worry about him.I personally am not inclined to let him back but we will see what the others say. We let him be able to push his products in the thread where he made his introduction and talked about what he was selling. We are a big community , and we cooperate with the vendors by reviewing them and offering them a place to push there products for free. But we don't want to be invaded by ads. He was clearly told the rules several times and , in my opinion , if anyone wants to deal with him , they are welcomed to do it outside the boards , wether it be by email of phone. I agree with this completely.. he came off as an annoying, pushy, shady used car salesman, butting in with his product and being borderline patronizing with his friendliness to everyone. Yet another agreement to this statement...But I'll go one further. I actually think he deserves a permanat ban. How many chances does he really need? I've seen what he has contributed (nothing really) and where his intrest in the forum lies. I don't think the mod staff should be required to read his posts before they are posted...He is failing to understand a concept that even my 6 year old daughter can...So he just really does not care and sees this as a outlet to grow his business. I feel that his attitude was PUSHY... YOU SHOULD REALLY CHECK OUT PRODUCT x... FROM x COMPANY. I have agreed with the mods from day 1 on this issue because he always seemed sleazy. What I mean to say honey is that he was getting on a lot of peoples nerves, and I think this ban was well deserved. He also was very arrogant... he said something like "I have had my shop open for 3 years before I came here, I don't feel as though it will die if I don't get any business here" (just pulling that from memory). So the moral is....Keep on posting!And MODS GREAT JOB! I AM GLAD THAT ERICA HAS OPENED HER EYES TO SEE HOOKAHETC. FOR THE PERSON HE TRULY IS.
