ninjalover187
Ok so I was just googling for some syrian hookahs and I came upon this site: www.syriangate.com/nargile.htm These hookahs look nice. And they are cheap! Some of those bases are friggin awesome. I heard syrian hookahs were generally pretty nice. It seems these have the male bowl attachment contrary to the female which is on most syrians. It says they are hand made and located in Damascus, Syria. I wonder how much shipping would be to the US, I would guess at least 30 (I work at UPS haha). I wonder what they mean by the two separate prices and the term "separable"? Too bad there is no info about them. What do you all think about them?

Lakemonster
yeah.... good prices....I have contacted them a few times, the "seperable" thing... means the stem breaks down. This stuff ships out of Syria... so the shipping for just one hookah was $30..... if you got the cash and want to make a bigger sale... then you might be able to justify the shipping charges. They do have some really kick ass lookin rigs tho. cymptom
Damn those are some sweet lookin machines. If it wasn't such a hassle to have to use the Syrian->Egyptian adapter, I'd probably get one of those...
Lakemonster
There are some there with egyptian seats. They had a complete different stock a year ago..... looloopoopie
Seems like they have an interesting selection of base shapes and sizes. If shipping weren't so high, I'd throw down 7 bucks for a new hookah

I mean, we order a couple of machines, spend $30 to ship, and then once they get here one of us has to send it out to the other. With that additional shipping cost tacked on, I think in the end we'd still end up spending $20 -$25 each to get them here.
Erica
I don't know where Roseville is, but shipping from me to you UPS Ground is probably like $5....I just figured that if anyone else wanted to buy one that we would save SOMETHING by ordering together. camelflage
yeah i would love to see how all those shafts come together, seems like a nightmare for possible air leaks, but if it works it would be pretty sweet.
cymptom
Oh, boy....I wonder if they could provide me with a satisfactory answer if I emailed them asking which pieces have Egyptian style head mounts and if any of them have a particularly wide stem gauge...Another concern I might have is whether or not the Mya wide hose would fit into those hose ports... they look pretty tiny. They look nice, but that is all. I too would like to get a LITTLE more info on the Syrian ones before I drop the cash though. I think Lakemonster has picked the one I would think about buying. It's purdy.

I thought about asking him, but then I thought I'd better not to since he gets nagged enough. +I remembered that he's not God... contrary to popular belief...Nonetheless, I find myself glad you told me that Besides, none of those at Yurdan seem to have Egyptian style stems... ghostofdavid
I inquired for an order from these guys several times... 30 dollars isnt just to ship it... it is packing materials and the 30 dollars is roughly multiplied for each hookah you order... I requested a price for three large hookahs from this website and shipping to Ohio was around 110 bucks.
azcoyote
Syrian pipes rock. I picked out a nice one when I visited Sonthert''s Odyssey. I think it was $35. About 22". Solid metal stem with hi-flow brass downpipe. Has purge valve. Good, heavy chrome on stem. Jar had nice gold leaf fired into the glass, not painted. Too bad the cat broke it. New $14. jar from Hookah Company isn't as nice. But it works!Damn fine hitter, and it takes Tower, Phunnel or other standard bowls. No adaptor needed.
