pidgey
Today I will be buying my first hookah from a store in my city and I have a few questions that will help me get started. How many coals are needed for each bowl that is smoked? Should I keep the tobbaco in my refridgerator when it is not being smoked? Also, would it be a good investment to get one of those 'wind-proof' covers to protect my carpet since I'll be smoking indoors? Thanks! Mathazar
Go to: www.Hookah-Shisha.com and click on the User Guide at the top of the page. That should answer many of your questions. Also go to: www.SocialSmoke.com and in the upper right corner of the page you'll see a link for "Hookah 101". Click on that and read the tips they give you. If you have any more questions after reading that stuff, then come back here and I'll try to help you out Welcome to The Hookah Forum
pidgey
Thanks a lot for that information, it was very helpful. I have one more question that I'm sure you guys will be able to give me some advice on. I've been to numerous hookah lounges in my area, some that cater to college kids and others that cater to a mostly arabic crowd. I've noticed that the more traditional lounges appeared to use a higher quality tobacco. What brands are considered good, and which brands should I avoid. Price doesn't really matter as long as it isn't extremely expensive. Thanks again.
cypress
The top brands you will not be disapointed with is Al Fakher and Roman. It also depends on which flavor you will like. Say for instance you like double apple. You would more than likely go with Romman. Watermelon I would say Fumari. Your best bet to search though some of our reviews and make an educated decision. Good luck.
