.cOLt.45.
You could always search...but anyways...you should most likely be able to take it on board...if not then they'd have to disallow cigarrettes and such.....
camelflage
yeah, its just a tobacco product, and they allow smoking on the boat in some areas. def want to have a wind cover cause its gets pretty breezy on deck.
NorthEastSmoker
It's not the cruise ship that is an issue... it's getting the coals in your luggage and there on the airplane. If you luggage is scanned for explosives (as it is at many large airports) when you first check in for your flight, the coals will be picked up, and you'll be up to your neck in trying to explain yourself.. If you can get your hookah and some tobacco in your luggage, and then buy coals where your cruise departs from, you should be all set.

Molson
oh nice a airplane question (im studying to be a pilot) the rules are simple acroding to coal...no explosives. as in quick lights are covered in gun powder i believe which is a big no no. one of the absolute worst things on board is a fire. natural coals on the other hand should be a problem..but how would you light it? cants bring a propane torce but a hotplate is perfectly fine. Sonthert
It is illegal to bring paraphernalia into the US...that is its illegal to bring a hookah into the US...if you leave with it and they search, they make you leave it behind.
SafeSearch
where would you be flying out of and or departing for your trip?? Some places really dont give a damn, at all. For instance:In mexico I bough a machete, cuz theyre freaking awesome. I completely forgot to leave it in my check luggage, and when i went thru the securty checkpoint, they just put it in a small boxy thing and duct taped it shut real nice. Also in Greece: I put my lighter thru the x-ray machine, and not a word was said to me.eidt: sorry, noticed i got a bit off topic. My point is this:It all depends on circumstance Edited January 27, 2007 by SafeSearch
Scheetz
Well they dont care about lighters. Because people need them to smoke, but they can be a pain about it sometimes. On some flights we went over with the lighter and they wouldnt let us through with it back.I dunno, you may have issues with the hookah on board. Flying I cant see any issues, although we are speaking of people who pulled me because my ipod was in my backpack and they wanted to do a thorough inspection that it was not a detonator. That was a fun wait while they messed with it for a while.
