spoolinspoon
yep, it sure does. When it snowed here on sunday, I ran outside and filled by bucket with ice with the hookah in the bucket. I can say that it was almost to cool of a smoke, but sure was awsome!

rovelz
i know you can run the risk of cracking a glass base if you drop the temp too fast... but i'm not sure about putting it in a bucket with ice. i'm guessing because hookah bases are generally thicker glass that you shouldn't worry about it too much.btw... wisconsinites ftw!! Milwaukee here... yeah... it's pretty chilly out.
rovelz
i realize that, but some people seemed to be talking about literally putting their hookah in a bucket with ice... as for the one on the stem, I'd imagine a decent amount of ice in the base would do the same thing, but I'm sure it'd probably help, especially because the ice in the base seems to have a bad habit of melting rather quickly when i smoke.i've actually been looking into a hookah with an ice chamber on it... haven't decided which route i want to go yet. I have an SS base, and I have never once had fear of it cracking. I usually freeze my base beforehand, however. The smoke really is icey cold, espically if you have a diffuser, then you are in hookah heaven. PK
I've never smoked hookah with an ice bucket on the stem. I personally don't see how it would make that much of a difference.

I would leave it outside for 20 minutes... then see what happens.
Apollo
I left my hookah outside for about 2 hours as i ran errands in town, and i came home and sat down to some Al Waha Mint, that was the coldest smoke and the biggest plumes of smoke i think i have ever had. It was great, the glass of my hookah was all frosted up the entire time i smoke. I wish i would have thought to take some pictures.
