Buying a hookah...

I'm in the process of buying a hookah and i found this site while doing
some research on what to get. Right now, i'm leaning towards the ice
torrent Mod Hookah from hookah-shisha.com. I've been smoking with
friends for a couple of years and i think it's time i bought my own.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on making your first purchase. 
In my opinion the ice chambers dont help out as much as you migh
think.  In the ice chamber there is no convection for the coolness
to draw the heat from the smoke. In my opinion ice water has a better
affect since the bubbling causes more convection.  I dont know if
there is some sort of cover over the ice tray but if not and you might
have to be carefull that the coal does not slide of the bowl ore else
your coal will be gone.  If your already bought the item write
about your experience and try several different methods. ie with ice in
the chamber, without the ice, ice in the vase,  ice in the vase
and chamber. Also keep the variable that need to stay the same the
same. ie coal, tabacco.

I decided not to go with it after all. In fact I just spoke to Sami of
hookah-shisha and ordered a two hose Sphinx "Genie" model. I figured
i'd go with something smaller, more portable and less exotic and
expensive as a first hookah. And because it was out of stock, I got a
10% discount for having to wait a bit longer, so it worked out ok.

I haven't seen that many reviews of that particular model here, so I might do one once I get it (in 10 days or so).
