yipiia
Visting the local hookah store today and the guy was trying to explain the quality of hookah pipes coming from Czechoslovakia. Is this true? Is this a desirable glass? It actually was a snazzy looking pipe..but couldn't justify the 30kd (bout $100+) for the thing.-Scott
ghostofdavid
The Czech Republic produces some pretty snazzy glass... usually called Bohemian glass, if I am not mistaken. The Bohemian glass is usually very thick has ornate decorations on them. A hundred bucks could be worth it, but haggle like the devil. A nice Bohemian Mya pipe usually cost around 100-140 bucks in the United States.

Social Smoke
Romania makes some real nice glass, but real Czech glass is more expensive and has a world famous reputation. Either way, Czech glass is pricey.
yipiia
Well..I guess I'll go have another look. I kinda liked this one.. it had some form of 'shamrocks' on the side. It was kind of hard to interpret through the middle eastern accent.

myasaray.com
Dear forum membersMYA is a brand name and to that end I would like to confirm to everyone that MYA SARAY’s brand name products will always remain the same quality products wherever they are being manufactured.Indeed we have Build our second glass factory in Romania due to the high demand but our raw materials are still brought in from the Czech Republic to produce the same brand name, QUALITY MYA PRODUCTS. MYA is in the process of building its third Glass Factory in Saudi Arabic which means that customers might see MYA Glass made in Czech Republic, Romania, and soon Saudi Arabia. Our prices will always remain competitive in the market no matter where the raw material is coming from or where our MYA brand is being manufactured.I urge all the forum members who have any questions or concerns about MYA products to contact me at MYA SARAY directly as you will only get the truest of responses from the source. MYA SARAY does not usually like to respond to rumors posted by other hookah retailers but we have noticed a trend in the concerns and decided that those retailers who are unfamiliar with our business and have been posting erroneous messages about the MYA brand need to be informed just as well as our loyal customer base to whom we owe the response to. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at 866 277-9MYAThank youMahmoud BadawiCEO
