Shavo989
Thievery Corporation seems to be a big hit around hear. Kind of Middle Eastern electronica (but not techno), you should still check them out if you already haven't.

xpimpitox
i think songs with the tabla are awesome. a tabla is a type of drum they use in a lot of the songs. my armenian friend plays the drum and he plays awesome. when we used 2 go 2 kan zaman in san francisco he would always play it while we smoked and partied. got a lot of the nicer lookin ladies there to hang out with us and dance and party all till 2am. Buddha Bar Volumes 1 through 8, if they haven't come out with even more, are fantastic. Download some on limewire to check out and you'll be buying the full albums for sure.Don't forget good old Amir Diab, the Middle East's finest voice, not techno or club but definitely good for hookah! Definitely in the world music section and definitely worth it... Habibi, club version yes!If you can find some of Shakira's off the beaten path stuff you'll get a kick out of it too. She's done stuf with Amir Diab and The Gypsy Kings, even though she's known here for Spanish and English pop, she's Lebanese, if I am not mistaken. Lebanese and Syrian women are the hawtness. Salam!
